Great use for the Slopes
Wore these snowboarding over the weekend and they did their job protecting my knees. Comfortable and not bulky so they fit nicely under my board pants.

No bruises!
New snowboarder here and was tired of having bruised knees. These are a life saver, highly recommend the padded shorts also. I have much more confidence knowing my knees and tail bone have the layer of padding for protection.

Buy these!
So great! Easy on and off. Fit great under snow pants. Thin, so they donโt overheat or irritate me. I do wear them over my leggings. My daughter recently stole them for volleyball! So I guess you could use them for that too!

As Goldmember in Austin Powers would say... "Toight like a tiger!!" - would definitely size up unless you like numb legs.
I read some of the answered questions before deciding on what size to buy and according to the sizing chart posted I decided to go with a medium. My knee circumference around the knee cap measured with a cloth tape measure is exactly 14 inches. According to Burton sizing a Medium should fit a knee size of 13.8 - 14.6 inches. I am 5'6" and about 145 lbs with a slim build and skinny legs. Trying these knee pads on for the first time felt like I had a tourniquet around my knees - these felt ridiculously tight! Wouldn't be surprised if my legs were blue from the knee down after a full day of wearing these. I wish I ordered a large but got a great deal on these and may just keep them and hope they eventually stretch out and become more comfortable. Like some other reviewers said they do bunch up in the back and do restrict movement a bit. The front padding is not that thick but adequate enough to make a difference when slamming your knee into ice compared to not wearing any padding at all. Having these pads could be difference between crying like a school girl after a bad spill to just yelling out a few profanities and getting back up and shredding again. Won't get the chance to use these for a few weeks but will wear them around the house to hopefully stretch them out a bit and maybe get them to fit more comfortably once I get on the hill. Would definitely recommend sizing up if getting these. Might update my review after a few uses...

Not bad! I used them a couple of times for snowboarding (I am a beginner) and they do help when you fall forward. However, I wish they had a bit more cushion since the East Coast slopes are icy.
