I used the OdorStop OS4500UV Professional Grade Ozone Generator during a home remodel where the house had never had a dehumidifier and had that lingering damp drywall/insulation smell. With regular use, it definitely helped reduce the odor and made the space much more tolerable while we were working. That said, the real solution ended up being addressing the underlying humidity issue. Once a dehumidifier was added and moisture was controlled, the smell was truly resolved. The ozone generator was a helpful tool in the process, but not a standalone fix for an ongoing moisture problem. Where I really see this unit shining is with odor sources like smoke or one-time, stubborn smells. It’s powerful, professional-grade, and effective when used correctly. I would absolutely recommend it as part of an odor-removal strategy, especially for smoke or renovation-related smells—just pair it with fixing the root cause for best results.

I didn't think it was possible to get rid of musty, smokey odors. Thankfully, I was wrong! My son recently rented an apartment in a non-smoking building. When we were shown the apartment, it had been recently painted and the windows were open so there were no noticeable odors. Once the paint dried and the room started to warm up, it became pungent with a smell of smoke. It was extremely unpleasant, especially to someone who doesn't smoke and has asthma. We had the carpets professionally cleaned TWICE, had every surface sanitized, and ran two air purifiers on high for a week. It didn't work, and we weren't sure how he would be able to live there. I desperately searched for help when I decided to contact a professional smoke removal service. They are able to remove smoke odors from a house after a house fire (and musty, moldy smells after flooding). When I asked how they did it, they told me about the ozone generators they used. I didn't even know that these devices existed. I started to research ozone, how it works, and decided to find a unit to purchase. We weren't able to leave the apartment overnight, so we ran the unit using the timer which we set to shut off an hour and a half before he returned home. We ran it for 6 hours on two consecutive days, and the smell is COMPLETELY GONE! What was left was a fresh smell, and the air actually felt lighter and cleaner. I couldn't be more excited with the results. The customer service team is also incredible, extremely prompt in responding, very courteous and helpful. My first unit didn't seem to be working, and I called for help. They tried to help me troubleshoot the issues, but unfortunately, my first unit may have been defective. They replaced that unit with another one, and I received the new unit in a couple of days - with a prepaid return label to send the other one back. I tried the new unit, and it worked like a charm. I have read a couple of reviews that complained of the smell that the ozone generator creates. There is a very strong ozone smell that comes from the unit when it's on and shortly after using it, but the smell dissipates quickly. I wouldn't say it's a bad smell though. It kind of smells like it does during a thunderstorm or right before a rain. To me, it smells like super fresh air. They provide you with safety instructions but you should know that this can only be used in an unoccupied area. And if you have pets, you need to be sure that you take them with you when you run the unit. If you are looking for an effective way to eliminate odors, I would highly recommend this product.

This truly works, just remember, you must air out the house when you're done very important.

I use this for work as I remodel rental units. Had a house where there was extreme smell of dog waste in the basement that had permeated in the whole house. The basement floors have been painted twice in the whole house has been repainted, but the smell was still very strong. Ran this ozone machine for a couple days, and it completely eliminated the odors. Easy to transport and move around. I really like that it has timers and a nonstop run function for when you need it to run for more than a day. Definitely run out of the room when you turn it on. If you’re trying to remove oders from a whole house, don’t forget to open all the closet and cabinet doors and have your furnace on constant fan mode to disperse and enable the ozone get everywhere.

Very low noise, not too heavy, simple to use and no issues. Wouldn't recommend being in the home with it running as the instructions tell you. Once machine is finished the odor was mostly eliminated and left behind a slight ozone smell that disappear once house was vented. Very useful for all kinds of odors to include pets and that old people smell. Yall know what I'm talking about.

Very strong ozone generator. Works great and helped us a lot after two hurricanes - Helene and Milton, when our house was with no power for a couple of weeks. No odor, no moisture in the house and garage after using this Ozone Generator Ionizer. Really appreciate this good quality.

If i ciuld leave zero stars, i would. Bought this in hopes it would do....anything...I finally got to the point of returning it today because despite our dozens of efforts, it will not work. It says we are out of the return window now and im honestly mad I didnt pay closer attention to that, because over 300$ for junk is not what I needed.

I had a friend who shared an apartment with me. She refused to stop smoking weed in the apartment. She finally moved out and I thourghly cleaned the 900 sqare feet space. I could not get the smell she left behind out. She left a dog smell and what I can only assume was weed even though I never personally saw her smoke. I washed the walls with vinegar and baking soda. It got a lot of the smell out. Then I discovered this Ozone generator. I ran it for 10 hours in an unoccupied space without any furniture present. This generator removed the dog, the pungent odor of what may have been pot and the overall smell of a person who did not value cleanliness. All gone! I was so amazed and pleased! It left a smell that seemed flat until I opened the windows. It quickly dissapated. Best investment for the DIY person on cleaning stuborn smells out of a space. The price is reasonable to me since a clean move out person quoted me the same price. Bottom line it was a great purchase and worked like it was intended.
