Weather book
This book is great for weather experiments for the kids. I used it for cub scouts and the boys loved it.

Read the Weather for background information.
It was a little high level for my preschoolers but had great information.

The weather is lovely. Cone on in!
What a wonderful book for anyone with even a passing interest in weather. A wealth of beautiful illustrations, both graphics and photographs, aided the well-written script. Rupp uses a clever device to appeal to kids of various ages and attitudes: the continuing weather diaries of two siblings, one a meticulous, precise older sister, the other a boy of infinite imagination and application. They give their versions of the same information with words and pictures, bringing elements across in a way that may have escaped the mere pedagogues among us. I read it with our 6 and 9 year old and was pleased to catch our 13 year old taking a peek when he thought he was alone. All boys. All interested.

Love this book! Wish there were others like it!
I wish there were more science books for kids like this! The info isn't dumbed down or over-simplified like so many children's science books, but the information is presented in a playful way with great informative pictures. I am using this for homeschooling with my 6-year-old son, but it would be a great resource for many ages!
