Switchbot's Contact sensor is useful in many situations. It's easy to install and the Switchbot app provides settings for it to be used on a door or a cupboard. I even have one attached to a cat flap! Battery life is good and, as well as linking to the Switchbot app, I have also connected the contact sensor to the Samsung Smartthings app which allows me to control non-Switchbit bulbs via the sensor. The sensor also includes a small motion sensor which allows you to determine if visitors are leaving or arriving alongside a light sensor. I have found that notifications via the Switchbot app can be delayed (despite disabling battery optimisation etc) but they come through instantly via Smartthings. I have purchased contact sensors from other manufacturers in the past but this is the most versatile by far.

These sensors are exellent, just take your time to find the optimum position for each sensor, precence works very well as does the motion, i have three set up, and these are then controled by home assistant, the one on the front door turns on a porch light when the door is open and I am entering the house after sunset, and the sensor will turn on the prch and hallway when leaving and both turn off a a predefined time after. The other two I just use as sensors one on the landing to turn on a light if I am going up or down the stairs after sunset and before sunrise. I've had them a few months now and they work floorlessly. Brilliant

Easy to install and use. Integrates well with the app and my home system. Really good for checking that doors are shut or that someone hasn’t gone in somewhere they shouldn’t.

Motion sensor works well with my other switchbot products. My only gripe is that it seems to the batteries don't seem to last long and I'm constantly putting AAs in it. The app is very good and I much prefer it to the ewelink application.

Exactly what you'd expect from SwitchBot. Great build quality, more features than you'd expect for the price and a wide range of compatibility for the main smart home ecosystems. I'm using it with Apple Home via the SwitchBot Hub 2's Matter integration, so far, no performance issues.

These are the most reliable and battery efficient door sensors I have found. They are at first glance feature packed as they have multiple sensors built in. From the obvious door open and closed detection it also has built in... Ambient light level sensing, motion sensing (which when used in conjunction with the door open and closed sensor determines if you're vhave entered of left the room/building), temperature sensing and finally a button to trigger events or scenes. So what's the problem? Surely the reliability and all these features should get them a 5 star rating? Well yes they would... BUT... Most of these features aren't presented to other devices/frameworks such as Alexa or Smartthings. This means that the only features available to trigger an event or scene is the door open or closed sensor. This means it can't be used for launching a simple scenes such as turning the lights on when entering a room (and when it's dark) and off again when leaving the room. This is a major flaw and limitation. I'm can't say if this limitation can be overcome using something like IFTTT or Home Assistant.

SwitchBot have done something special here, a contact sensor that not only does brilliantly at it's job of detecting if a door/window/something else is open or closed, but by adding in a motion sensor it opens up so much more potential for home automations which work flawlessly in Home Assistant. Oh and there's a button as well I've had other contact sensors that work well but then lose connectivity or require repairing every so often, these have never had that problem and as a big bonus use easy to get hold of sized batteries (2x AAA). I'm slowly going about and replacing my other contact sensors with these as they are such an improvement from what I used to use.

Seeing as ive been a newcommer to switchbot items, ive been more than happy with theor products thus far. Im trying to get my smarthome over to as few ecosystems as possible. Plus im quite new to smarthome stuff! These door contact switches are a great start for me as they contain more than one function, not just about knowing your door is open or shut, but also a motion sensor built in. Also, this item couldnt be easier to install into postion or set up in the app. This will go a long way to improving automations even further. Switchbot, you've done great, im converted!!

He estado buscando una forma sencilla y fiable de monitorizar mis puertas y ventanas, y el SwitchBot Sensor de Contacto ha superado mis expectativas. Su tamaño compacto hace que sea discreto y fácil de instalar en casi cualquier marco sin ser intrusivo. La instalación fue rapidísima. Simplemente retiras la película protectora del adhesivo y lo pegas en la puerta/ventana y el marco. La alineación es sencilla gracias a las pequeñas marcas en los dos componentes. En cuestión de minutos, ya tenía varios sensores instalados en diferentes puntos de mi casa. La conectividad con la aplicación SwitchBot es instantánea y muy estable a través de Bluetooth. Recibo notificaciones instantáneas en mi teléfono cada vez que una puerta o ventana se abre o se cierra. Esto me da una gran tranquilidad, especialmente cuando no estoy en casa. Lo que realmente me gusta es su versatilidad. No solo me avisa de aperturas inesperadas, sino que también lo he integrado con otros dispositivos SwitchBot a través de escenas en la aplicación. Por ejemplo, al abrir la puerta del armario, se enciende automáticamente una luz SwitchBot Bulb. ¡Las posibilidades son muchas! La duración de la batería ha sido excelente hasta ahora. Llevo varias semanas usándolos y aún no he tenido que preocuparme por reemplazarlas. Además, la aplicación te avisa cuando la batería está baja. Aunque no es compatible directamente con Matter en este momento, su integración con el ecosistema SwitchBot y su compatibilidad con asistentes de voz como Alexa y Google Assistant a través del SwitchBot Hub Mini (se vende por separado) lo hacen muy funcional dentro de un hogar inteligente. spend hours trying to connect it to Alexa or smart life app but it fails..its only connects to smartbot app and can't access it outside this app...after alot of search i find out you need to buy another device (hub) to be able to connect to third party assistant like Alexa. Seller should mention that on description. Usless. Im returning it back

Ho installato questi sensori SwitchBot e devo dire che mi hanno sorpreso in positivo. Non sono i classici sensori “aperto/chiuso”: fanno molto di più. Rilevano se una porta o finestra è aperta, ma anche movimento e luminosità. Questo apre la strada a un mondo di automazioni, soprattutto se collegati al loro Hub (nel mio caso integrati poi in Home Assistant tramite l’integrazione SwitchBot). Esempi pratici: Se il sensore rileva che qualcuno entra in casa e c’è buio → accende automaticamente le luci. Se esco e la porta si chiude → spegne elettrodomestici e lampade, senza dover toccare nulla. Se una finestra rimane aperta → spegne il purificatore d’aria in automatico. Notifiche push immediate sullo smartphone e possibilità di allarme vocale tramite Alexa. Il bello è che sono facilissimi da installare, senza attrezzi, e la batteria dura parecchio. Grazie alla compattezza puoi metterli davvero ovunque: porte, finestre, scatole di medicinali (per verificare se sono state aperte), persino la gabbietta del gatto (per sapere se il furbacchione ha deciso di evadere). In poche parole: ✅ Rilevano apertura/chiusura, movimento e luminosità ✅ Si integrano benissimo con Alexa e Home Assistant ✅ Infinità di automazioni possibili ✅ Facili da installare, nessun cavo, batteria longeva ✅ Notifiche immediate anche da remoto Un prodotto semplice ma geniale, che porta la domotica di casa a un livello superiore.
