Bought this for our granddaughters birthday. She is really in to bugs. She Loved putting these together.

But as a gift for my friend's son. He loves it. Plays with his brothers and friends all the time making little origami bugs. Keeps them off the tablet!!

Bought this for my seven year old who is a little builder/engineer at heart. He loved it, but some of the bugs are difficult to fold. I (his mom) figured it out with him. The pictures are fairly easy to follow for a grown up.

My son really liked the book and making the bugs with the included paper.

The paper in this kit is awesome. Fun and colorful.However, the origami is so simple that most of the bugs don't even look like bugs. I felt bad for my kid, I kept asking him, "What is that?" I looked at the book and his models looked just like the ones in the book.Disappointed, he finally decided to use the paper for other models that actually looked like something. I understand wanting to keep it simple, but when the final model doesn't resemble anything, then it's not worth it.If you bought this and want to know what else to do with the paper, there's lots of good origami models on the internet.

Micheal lafosse is a creative genius in the origami world. His books have great models as well as directions that you can follow and enjoy. Never hesitate to buy one of his origami books. Just the best! Bravo to you Michael!

Slightly basic book but the paper provided is very nice.I would say this is for beginners.

I have tried and tried to do the origami--but the instructions are too unclear for me to follow.
