Helpful for someone who has major hernia issues.
I got this binder for my Husband who has several abdominal hernias that cannot be treated at this time. He is pleased with the wider width of this binder as many he has used fall short and he ends up having to use 2 binders at one time. The only issue is, there are "strings" that come loose and he is constantly pulling them out or clipping them off. Other than that, he is satisfied with the binder for his purpose. He does say that if you bend down often to pick up things the binder will ride up. However, under the circumstances of the binder construction, this is expected.

Plus size midline incision hysterectomy necessity
Once you get over the shock of the words "midline abdominal incision" you have to start thinking practically. It will be uncomfortable, but you can make the recovery feel significantly easier with the use of an abdominal binder. And that binder had better be EASY TO PUT ON AND ADJUST BY YOURSELF.You will recognize the utility instantly at the hospital. The nurse will help you put it on and adjust it at first, but when you go home you should be able to use this device on your own, it gets easier with repetition. This is a nice binder. The nurses were impressed by the ease of application and the variable size, even in my size there was plenty of room to adjust and add a padded support board. The doctor was pleased with the vertical length and overall size of the device.I bought several different styles and this is BY FAR the easiest to apply. It does not take much effort to arrange it basically and then adjust for comfort. Before surgery you may think that you want it TIGHT, but you don't, you want it just right. It isn't a corset and you don't want a corset right after surgery even if you are certain beforehand that you will. Especially if you have staples. Trust me.I cannot recommend this strongly enough. It is of high quality and easy to hand launder, but you WILL want at least two so that you can always have one to wear while the other is air drying.Regarding the comments about moving - it's elastic and not boned, it's going to shift in position a little, but it is very easy to adjust into place. It makes more difference than I can express, I am two weeks post surgery and my staples were just removed today. Because of my binder and I can transfer alone with little to no discomfort. I am 5'10 250lb and disabled by severe MS 100% assisted walking**Update**I am now 3 months post surgery and still wearing this on a daily basis, though not 100% of the time and I would not get into a car without it yet. I'm looking for a cooler material for summer, but I still consider it a necessity and absolutely recommend it if you are having abdominal surgery.

Frustrating Fit
Because this has one long strip of velcro to fasten, it makes it super difficult to fasten it without causing significant wrinkles. I couldn’t find a design that would accommodate my size and also came with a segmented fastener design - so I went with this one. I’m disappointed. I feel like I’m always gonna be fidgeting with the closure to get the wrinkles out…and that’s just when standing up!

A must have especially for c section.
This was my saving grace the first two weeks after a c section. Gave me so much comfort and pain relief. Velcro hold well. For reference I’m 283 lbs here after birth and it held me well. I couldn’t recommend anything more than this for post partum recovery.

Good fit without being uncomfortable. Well made. I will order again in the future.

Doesn't stay in place,too long
Bought this product to help with a hernia. Comfortable to wear but it is too long. It rides up when you walk and it is hard to apply unless you have a flat abdomen to begin with. I think it would be better if it was shorter like 9 inches and had multiple velcro attachments so it is not just one piece going across. May fit better for curvier bodies.

Not fit for purpose
I bought it for support following a full Nephrectomy. Great at first. Now just rolls over in its self and makes it useless as a,support

Mission impossible.
Thought I'd leave a review after a few days of wearing so hear goes. Not the greatest experience for me, I'm 49 and struggled to hold & fasten this thing without it having some major uncomfortable creases. After many attempts to fasten this thing to have enough support & be comfy, including the lay on the bed method, I finally figured it was easier to struggle pulling it up Pre Velcroed together like a big pair of pants. There's no structural inner or outer to this thing it's literally a piece of very wide elastic with velcro so bare that in mind before you purchace. It is what it is, it's OK, not great & certainly if you wear under clothing and don't get the velcro just so the hook side of the velcro rubs on your bare skin and it hurts.I think a lot more thought could of gone into the design & comfort side especially for the price.
