Love Monster and the Scary Something

Cute story. Love Monster is a lovable character. My granddaughter loved the first book when she was about 2 hrs old. She enjoys seeing him in other stories now.

This is my 4 year old’s absolute favorite book. She asks me to read it multiple times in a row. I really like it as well. It’s well-paced, with fun pictures and a great message. The hardcover print is a nice quality too. It’s a very cute book for kids who might be afraid of the dark.

This book is excellent for kids who are afraid of the dark. It promotes bravery and critical thinking. It has plenty of 'noises' to make it an exciting read. With a little effort this book becomes a theatrical fun filled story time with a lesson that nearly everyone can learn from. "Somehow, hiding from THE SOMETHING outside, got harder than finding something brave INSIDE"

I recently purchased the Love Monster book and the Love Monster and the Scary Something book. These books are great. Great quality books containing stories which teach positive lessons and contain wonderful illustrations. I am a toddler teacher and can't wait to read these to my class! I am soon going to order the other two books! Thank you, Rachel Bright. These are fantastic books!

I seriously need to learn to read stuff. I thought this was a board book, but alas it is a hardcover so she has all but this in board book style. It throws off the balance of her bookshelf. It annoys me more than life. I'm super OCD and just want to cry. I would've returned it but my daughter wouldn't let me.

I absolutely adore the love monster series. My 5 year old is obsessed with this book. He struggles with fear of the dark and this book has definitely helped him.

My 5yr old grandson enjoyed it but I could see where the character presentation could be disturbing for young children. The story is kept light and cheerful but the illustrations speak otherwise. Yes, they're supposed to be monsters but the illustrations for what 'could' be lurking in the dark may be what a child retains. Overall, a cute story especially for little boys that love monsters!

We'd never heard of Love Monster, so I bought based on reviews. When the book arrived, I worried it actually might scare my 3 yr old more rather than calm her fears! However, with some interactive reading, and a little ad lib to the text, this quickly became a nightly favorite!

This is such a great book for helping kids to see that being brave means being scared but confronting your fears anyway. It's a lovely story with lots of great sound noises, and my wee 3yo girl loves to 'read' it to me.
