I use these fittings quite often, They work fantastic for changing over from 50yr old thin copper to cpvc. Great transition fittings in most sizes of cts pipe.

These are overpriced. Having said that, every homeowner with PEX in their house should have at least two of these and a PEX cutter on hand (along with a length of PEX) at all times. PEX is great stuff, but it can be damaged easily by sharp objects and UV. If it does blow out for whatever reason, you can easily patch it with two of these and a length of PEX to replace the bad pipe. All you need to do to use these is cut the PEX flush and shove it in the coupling. That's it! I was amazed the first time I saw it. These also work on copper and CPVC, but NOT on PVC cold pipe! PEX is hard to cut with a blade, and you will have a hard time getting it square. Invest in a PEX cutter; there are no burs on the tubing to mess up the seal like there would be if you use a hacksaw or other blade.
