Includes Certificate-- Maison Takuya believes the world's greatest bags are constructed by combining modernity and tradition, precision and instinct, art and science. The brand's art director and founder, Francois Russo, upholds the highest dedication to quality; his team may spend six months developing a model and two weeks making a single bag. Patterns are drafted digitally, but accessories are created exclusively by hand. Treating leather goods as unique, precious pieces also means that their components should be unique. Our gold and platinum are: Ostrich, Crocodile, and Alligator. Our Steel: the most advanced cow leather, Goat, and Buffalo. THE STORY To ensure longevity only leather is used in the composition of our items. Paper, cardboard, fabric or synthetic-leather materials have no place in our production process simply because their aging cycle is not the same as for leathers. Only where they are technically necessary are some composite materials used for specific items. This uncompromising approach requires a rigorous leather selection process. All Maison Takuya models are produced with leathers of the most durable quality. We use natural cowhide even for hidden structural parts. THE LEATHER Maison Takuya uses highest-grade South African Ostrich skins, tanned with a semi- matte finish that will allow a rich patina to develop over time, and darken with use. Each item will therefore get a unique appearance from its owner's lifestyle. We offer two finishes for our Ostrich leathers : the classical studded back finish, for which we prefer to keep the studs half-hammered instead of a totally flat finish, or Ostrich belly skin that is not studded. All our Ostrich skins come with a Certificate of Origin tracing the animal back to its country of birth.
