Delicious Hot Cinnamon Caffeine Delivery!!
I don’t know how it happened, but it seemed like overnight. I became a tea person. What a wonderful thing that is! I just had a feeling that in the cooler weather I would just love some hot cinnamon something and of course that was tea that I was craving. I found cinnamon tea, which, in my old life, I didn’t even know existed. So y’all can have your pumpkin spice, but I’ll take cinnamon any day. I have some that has caffeine for the mornings, and some that is decaf for the afternoons. Some that is hot cinnamon, and some that is regular cinnamon. Harney & Sons are now my new BFF, and I’ve put my orders on monthly subscription. It’s quality tea, and the perfect blend. They have cinnamon and my favorite, HOT Cinnamon. (I’ll admit, as a newcomer to hot tea, that’s initially what I thought the “hot” meant; hot as opposed to tea that’s great for cold brewing.) but that spicy kick pairs great with the caffeine every morning when I sit down to work. I read that loose-leaf tea has more flavor, and I’ve found that to be true. I don’t go a day without my tea, now! (Actually, I don’t usually go a day without FOUR CUPS of tea!) It’s delicious and reasonably priced. The funny part is that at first, I didn’t realize there was caffeinated and decaffeinated tea. I was so glad to discover that, and find both in my favorite flavor —Oh, and it’s sugar-free!

Very flavorful tea to help you through a cold winter
Maybe my tastes are dulling with age, but it seems like many flavored teas (and other products) have such a weak flavor that it's hard to tell it's not just ordinary tea. This Cinnamon Spice, however, has a wonderful strong flavor - you know immediately you're not drinking ordinary black tea. The flavor is not overwhelming, but you're certainly not going to miss it. I find the flavors remind me of late fall, especially when it starts to get much colder and you start to really want a hot drink when you come in from outside. My relationship with loose-leaf tea was transformed when I found extra-fine mesh infusers. Not sure when they came out, but the extra-fine mesh leaks almost nothing (only a little very fine 'dust' that you can barely see) into the tea, and they are pretty easy to empty and clean. A huge improvement on the old "tea balls" and other infusers that leaked many small tea leaves into your tea. It is wonderful to be able to properly brew and enjoy this loose-leaf tea with no hassle. Very nearly as easy as tea bags, but tastes fresher and the loose leaf in the tin seems to stay fresh much longer than tea bags. If you like robust flavor this hot cinnamon spice is well worth trying.

The cinnamon is delicously spicy
I wasn't sure I would like this tea; but I took a chance after reading some reviews regarding the "Hot" in the "Hot Cinnamon Spice". It was sounding like it just might be something I could enjoy. So as soon as it arrived I opened it up and took a whiff, OMG, it smelled absolutely divine and spicey! I was very careful with the measurement of tea, the water temp and infuse time. I wanted the first cup to be per instructions so I could then adjust accordingly to my own personal taste. Well that first cup was an experience, It smelled exquisite, my first sip was soon after infusing and it was steaming hot. It was almost too sweet, I don't ever use sweetener in anything, not a big fan; but the sweet cloves in it was very sweet and not sure how I felt about that. After the tea cooled to a more drinkable temperature, my holey tea-bud, it was a thousand times better than that first sip. The sweetness was tempered and all the flavors came together in a wonderful balance. The "Hot" Cinnamon got spicey and I loved it. It was a great cup of tea all the way down to the last drop. Well almost the last drop, it has so much cinnamon in it that it does have a little more tea sediment than most loose teas, but it was such a fine dusting that it was still drinkable to the last drop. That last drop just has a little kick. So my final grade is A+++. My personal adjustment is a heaping "perfect teaspoon" per cup (I like it strong and spicy), I do keep to the 5 minute suggested brew time. I do hold my anticipation in check and wait until it is a drinkable temp so I can avoid that first saccharin sweet effect of the clove it gets when it's too hot. Then it is perfect start to finish. I am going through it way too fast. I will be reordering very soon. It is my favorite afternoon wind-down tea and also my afternoon need-a-second-wind tea, whichever the day requires. What else can I say, I love this tea, and yes, the cinnamon is deliciously spicy, yum!

Whoa. Hot spicy cinnamon. HOT like hot sauce but delicious.
I can imagine using the steeped spicy hot tea in a coffee cake or a scone recipe. I didn’t read reviews 1st and a spicy hot tea was new to me. I must have gotten a very fresh batch as the flavor was intense. I could have used less tea for a cup, and should have skipped the honey as it’s sweet in its own. After the 1st few sips my tongue became accustomed to the flavors. The smell is divine. I wouldn’t drink this while eating anything but a plain biscuit, but as a treat for a pick-me-up or warming experience. Just a hunch, I feel like this increased my metabolism & likely aggravated the gut bugs lol. (As-in gut health therapy for the system. Not in a bad way.)
