TAG Hardware Full Extension Pullout Laundry Hamper with Removable Bag NEW BLACK (Width (30") 762 mm)

Moved into a new house with custom closets from a local company. They wanted like 1200 to come out and install another hamper. So instead I found this and my gamble paid off. It is the same or better quality that what was sold with the original custom closet. All you need are some "Euro Screws" from your local hardware store and you are off to the races.

On top of the item taking nearly a month to arrive, the item arrived with no instructions or screws!!! What the heck is this!! Never had a poor experience with Amazon in over 10 years until I purchased this item. Not all it’s cut out to be. So sorry I bought this!

I have been completely remodeling our master suite for the last year. Part of the remodel was building some custom cabinetry designed to accommodate (3) of the Large TAG hampers (total of 6 bags). I received and installed them yesterday. I know the ad clearly states that screws are not included with the hamper for installing it, but I'm somewhat perplexed by that. But I'm more perplexed that the hampers do not come with ANY instructions whatsoever. So you need to be a little bit mechanically inclined to figure out how to install them. I'm really not sure why the manufacturer wouldn't write and include a proper set of instructions to go with the hampers? Because of this, I probably wasted an extra 45 minutes.Regardless of the non-existent screws and instructions, I got everything figured out and got all three hampers installed in a couple of hours. My wife is in LOVE with them. She immediately put them to use and sorted all the clothes the way she wants. I was hoping she'd love them and that it would make laundry chores easier on her, and both look to be true. She really likes the idea of being able to keep the clothes sorted and then being able to just lift the bag out and take it to the laundry room. As for me, I was so glad to kick that ugly plastic hamper we had to the curb!Seeing that these have only been installed one day as of this writing, I cannot comment on their longevity. They do, however, seem to be very well built. Just judging from looking them over very closely, I think they should last for many years to come.I feel it is necessary to add a critical detail about the install, however. If you are thinking of purchasing 1 (or more) of these hampers, make sure that you get the width that they show in the drawing exact. For us, the width was 30 inches, so I made 100% sure my openings were exactly 30 inches. There is no play or adjustment in the hampers, so if your opening is 29 3/4" or 30 1/4", you're going to have a problem on your hands, especially if your opening is on the too small side. There is NO adjustment to be had with these things, so you have GOT to get your measurements right. As long as you do that, these things install quite easily. Also, since there are no instructions included and since the drawing doesn't show it, there are plastic clips on the rails that let you separate the rails from the hamper for installation. Slide them all the way open, then you will see a white plastic lever and if you push it sideways then the rail slides right out of the body. It took me a a few minutes to figure out (again, instructions would be NICE!!!). My wife came in the room after I already had one almost installed, and she started trying to get the next one ready for me. She fiddled with it for several minutes and I asked her if she wanted me to tell her the trick; she said "No, I want to figure this out myself". After 5 or so minutes she said "Screw it, how do you take it apart?" As soon as I told her she tried it and then said "Super easy. Would have been even easier if there were some stupid instructions!" Agreed.Another installation tidbit since there are no instructions: When you are mounting the rails, mount them 3/8" back from the face of your cabinet (or whatever you are installing them in) if you want them to end up flush. By mounting the MAIN rails back 3/8", when you install the hamper body on to the rails and close it then the front of the hamper body will be flush with your cabinetry. I figured this out before installing them, thankfully. Otherwise, I'd either have had to remove the first one and start over, or just let them stick out 3/8" which I wouldn't have liked. Gosh, instructions letting me know this sure would have been nice.Another tip: The drawing from TAG show's you your minimum height for your cabinetry for installing the hampers. Definitely do NOT try to go shorter. When full of clothes, the bottom of the bags will round out and drag if you make your cabinets shorter than required in their drawing. I actually made mine taller than what's required because I didn't want to have to bend down to grab the hamper. Therefore, I have 6 clear inches below my hamper bags and I am really glad I made that choice.Overall, I'm really tickled with these hampers. Still a bit befuddled and frustrated by the lack of any kind of instructions, but it's not a deal killer and wasn't worth knocking off a star on my rating. But seriously, at $209 each, why are real instructions NOT included????? Regardless, I really do like them. They look and feel very well built and look so professional once installed. Beats the heck out of an ugly plastic hamper sitting around.Bottom line, would I purchase them again? HECK YES! Do I recommend? HECK YES! Just read my installation tips and you will be delighted with these things. We Love them!!!! I'll post pictures soon....
