Very helpful kit!
My sons Switch wouldn’t power up any more. Came to the conclusion it was a bad battery. Kind of expected it for a 7 year old device. I ordered the replacement battery and it arrived within 3 days. It’s helpful that the replacement came with the needed tools to open the console and a tool to remove the battery. I found a YouTube video that walks you through exactly what needs to be done. Once the process was completed, his Switch powered up. The new battery came with a 50% charge, but I ended up charging it to 100%. He was happy he was able to use his Switch again.

Works for my switch
My Nintendo switch battery died about a year ago and wouldn’t take a charge. Pressing the power button did nothing at all. It was an easy install. The battery worked instantly. Even when it was dead the icon popped up showing it needs to be charged. An error pops up but I think it’s about the charger port. The switch still doesn’t charge so that will be my next repair. Due to that I can’t say how good the battery life is. That’s why I gave it 4 stars.

A new lease of life for an old or well used Nintendo Switch
Safe to say, one reason I wanted to hold off on getting a Switch was because I had concerns about how well the battery would hold up. Given my usage with stuff like phones and the PSP, I had no reason to believe that I'd be doing anything other than "renting" the console at about $300/yr USD, even if I had it dedicated for use on a TV. When I finally did get one that I could do what I was hoping for, Saint's Row 4 was pretty demanding, so I would run out of juice pretty quick going through the campaign and its many side quests.Replacing the battery was apparently a good thing of when I did. The old one almost folded on itself when it came time to pry it out, and the provided tools were adequate. Not as great as a dedicated standalone kit, but they proved effective for both the battery replacement, and when it came time to reuse them for modding the shell later.Didn't see much of an improvement with saint's row, but did see more with stuff like Pokémon snap and no more heroes. So, there is that. No complaints from the console. And it helps that at least unless the oled model changes things, the battery should be the same across the board. I may have wished for an extended one; but the fresh battery is proving to be just enough to get through break time at work, even with demanding games.

These batteries FRIED MY GAME!
I have had my switch for years now, and never ever have I had one issue! I prided myself on that. I have chanced my battery once before and it went smooth, this time I was cheap and didn't buy a Nintendo brand, it worked for like 10 min, then the back got hotter than a July day in Equador! I dismantled it again, put in my old battery which worked but had a short battery life and it still worked! I got a replacement thinking maybe I got a bad battery! The second battery KILLED MY BABY! I gotta buy a new switch 😩

Exactly what we needed!
My sons switch wasn't turning on or charging. I assumed the battery needed replaced so I ordered this kit. It comes with everything you need! The screwdrivers were made perfect b/c you could push down with the little knob on top, while also unscrewing. This was super helpful getting the tiny screws out once I got the hang of it. As soon as I put the new battery in, his switch turned on, and worked like a charm! So happy this worked and my son hasn't put his switch down since!
