Raggtopp Premium Convertible Top Brush

Absolutely the best I have used. I replaced and upgraded the soft top on my S2000 several years ago, and it was not cheap... neither the soft top itself nor the labor. Despite my best efforts towards maintaining my car and garaging it most of the time, the top gets dirty and has to be cleaned beyond a regular hosing-down.This brush works like magic. It's extremely gentle and can be used to softly agitate and remove debris, dirt, and bird poops from your soft top like no one's business and without damaging your soft top. I am extremely picky about my cars and how they are cared for. It is very safe for the top and not a single bristle has fallen out of this thing, and I have used it for years.There is only ONE downside, and that is that the wooden handle is not water-resistant. Over the years, although I've been very careful with this thing, water has dripped down and caused the wooden handle to slowly crack and fissure. It is still usable, but unsightly. However, it took five years for this to happen... and guess what? I just went ahead and ordered a new one.Added bonus: made in the USA. I hope they never stop making this cleaning brush. Part of me almost wants to buy one as a backup—it's that good. I won't use anything else. If you love your car, just pay the extra and get the RaggTopp/Haartz brush. You won't regret it.

This review pertains to a twill convertible top - not vinyl.Recently bought a Jeep Wrangler 4-door with the twill soft top. I've never owned a soft top before, wasn't sure how to clean it at first but have been researching quite a bit. I considered using a soft bristled boat cleaning brush, which would be great on a long handle for reaching (Jeeps are tall) but while I was looking at them in the store I quickly noticed how badly they shed dust/lint/particles etc. I don't want that stuff getting all over the twill top!Then I looked at horsehair brushes which seem to be the standard brush for convertibles, yet everyone seems to complain about how the hairs end up all over their tops. What to do?!?!?! I eventually found this raggtopp brush on Amazon, and figured why not try it out. Yes it's a little pricey, but it is fantastic, worth every penny.My advice: get this brush. And get a good reputable cleaner made specifically for convertible tops. I chose the 303 brand cleaner, but there are many options to choose from out there. Rinse off the top thoroughly with clean water, then lightly spray the top, then brush with very little elbow grease. Go easy, in circular motions. Then give the top another thorough rinse until the soap disappears. If you go too heavy with the cleaner, you will be standing there forever trying to rinse it out of the twill.This brush does a fantastic job, is not too coarse, but just the right firmness to be effective yet gentle. And, no brush particles left all over the place. In fact, I haven't even seen a single strand come loose. I highly recommend this brush.

The statement in the 6/16/2018 post from Lyonardo, "It's not cheap, but neither was your fancy roadster" convinced me to go ahead and pull the trigger and buy this pricey brush. LOLI recently purchased an Audi S5 Cabrio convertible, and although it's garage-kept, I want to be prepared for our wet Maryland winters.I used this brush in combination with 303 Convertible Fabric Top Cleaning and Care Kit; the brush is indeed perfect for its intended purpose. The size is nice and big, and the bristles are the perfect stiffness for the cloth top. The top is now pristine (although it was not too dirty to begin with).I did note a few green strands, but I’m attributing this to the "break-in" of a brand new brush; but there were only a few- not too bad at all. Overall I'm totally happy with this purchase.

Nice soft bristle brush for my cloth convertible top. Overpriced but does a good job. Gently cleans and it would be nearly impossible to damage your top with this. Would give 5 stars if it was priced about 25-30% less. I mean, if each bristle was painstakingly inserted by hand by Trappist monks I could understand the price...but I doubt that is the case.

I’ve been washing and detailing my own cars for 54 years. Guess that tells you something! In that time I’ve had about 20 convertibles. I’ve cleaned a lot of tops, never had a clue there was a brush just for that. I saw this one on YouTube. I somewhat hesitantly ordered it and cannot believe the job that it does. Would’ve gotten one a lot sooner. I applied good but safe pressure to it while cleaning and never lost a bristle. You can actually feel the quality as you use it. To the guy that wrote “spring for this brush, you won’t be sorry”, thank you! And thanks RaggTop for a great product I didn’t even know existed and now wouldn’t be without.

Brush works great on my Porsche 911 top. Catches dirt and cleans the top well. Strong enough to get the job done but will not hurt the fabric top. Very happy with it.

After purchasing the RaggTopp convertible top cleaner and protectant, I realized that I needed this particular brush to use the cleaning spray. I was initially thinking, how great could this brush really be? It was excellent for cleaning our convertible top. It is very easy to handle and works very well, particularly using it in a circular motion as is recommended. I would highly recommend this product and feel like it is well worth the money.

I very rarely order something for one purpose and then find that it is even better for another. I have a vinyl convertible top on my 2013 mustang. I find this brush to be very effective in cleaning the top.. My car is white and I find that after washing there are issues with road tar and bugs and god knows what else on it , particularly along the base og the car bemeath the doors and on the front. Always a problem. By chance after doing the top it was still wet with soapy water and I held it side ways and applied pressure to the bristles so that the bristles rolled over the tar and bugs abd whatever and it came off so easily . I was amazed. I dont know why but it did with very minimal effort.
