UPDATE 11/2017: Still faithfully using the trees on all new shoes because it makes them more comfortable. I broke one of them because i over cranked it. (When I got mine a year ago, they had no instructions; I did give feedback to Stonepack to write some and I see they have mentioned this issue.) I just sent an email asking if they could fix it, and they actually replaced it. I was so glad to hear they are busy, it is a good product at great price. The sellers Stonepack are a very positive and cheerful group and are much deserving of a referral if you know anyone who needs shoe trees.UPDATE 1/2017: I gave the full 5 star rating - these are terrific and so happy with them. They will last forever, and they work great. My shoes have widened like from a B to C width after two days. Very good. Also, the seller does stay in touch via email to answer any questions you have so I'd order without reservation.12/2016: I would recommend. I am lady size 11 or 42 EU and got the large. They are just right, with room to spare in both shorter and longer lengths. My shoe trees did not have any instructions so I emailed the seller, who informed me they do not have any - but they are "working on it." I was able to get them into my boots to start to widen the foot without instruction, they work great. (Righty-tighty, lefty-loosey for the handle on end to widen.) I did not try to figure out the length adjustment yet but it seems basic. I like that they seem to cover a wide range of sizes. Mine came with exactly the pieces shown in photos. I also used the spray for better and faster action and seller told me that heating them first helps stretch faster. Not sure how I'd go about heating.

JUNK. I stretched just one pair of shoes and they totally broke. On one of them the part that makes them wider just stopped working. And on the other one I was able to make the shoe stretch, but then had a heck of a time getting the gadget out and I realized that the part that makes them wider had disengaged, so turning the screw in reverse, which was supposed to release it, wasn't doing anything. The shoe was stuck on there and I had to have my son come over and pry the shoe off the stretcher. How do they get away with selling such worthless stuff? Unfortunately I put the shoes on the stretcher and then forgot about them for too long. So now it has been too long and I can't return this item. What a waste of money.

The inside parts came unglued pretty quickly. I've glued them myself, but it's a pain. They're not built to last, but they worked well at first...widening where I needed my shoes widened, unless soon after when the "screw" came unglued from the point knobby thing inside

Quality product. Just have to be careful if your adjusting the front to back strech while they are in the shoes. The gear for the adjustment will rest on the heel and tear up the material. Found that a little upward pressure while adjusting keeps it off the shoe.

These work great! I wish I had gotten them sooner. I have a bunion on one foot and these come with inserts to stretch the area you choose (peg holes in the stretcher all over) a little more and no more sore bunion from breaking in new shoes! LOVE THEM!

I needed shoe stretchers as multiple shoes I had were narrow ; Not knowing which brand is Best I bought 3 shoe stretchers from 3 different brands at Amazon ; They all arrived together ; I placed each pair in different shoes only to realize that the mechanical stretcher knobs in two brands broke and became useless after the first use ; Only the Stonepack product did the job without breaking up ; In comparison to the other two brands this was the best so I immediately repurchased another to replace the other two useless I had purchased ; I am very satisfied I will purchase more as Christmas gifts

Loved the idea to adjust certain spots inside shoes, and these sounded very promising (and more expensive than others found in Amazon). However, after using them only twice, it fell apart. I bought these less than a year ago. It was placed in a shoe once, then put it in another shoe overnight. When I took it out (the shoe was rather a soft dance shoes), it fell apart. Not only did it fall apart, but also the piece holding the rod was BROKEN. Hugely disappointing after reading some stellar reviews and end up with these substandard junk. Don't waste money. Now I have to look for another pair.
