My dog who has problems with loose stools and occasional pancreatitis is doing very well on this. The fat content is on the lower side and my dog really gobbles this up. His stools have also firmed up.

From the start, we tried many "Big Name Brand" & "Healthy Varieties", only to see our 11lb Rat Terrier Mugzie, reject pretty much everything. We've tried em all. My wife hand cooked much of our dog's food from liver & chicken, canned green beans. She loves Watermelon, broccoli crowns, cherry tomatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots... Eventually (Mugzie is now over 4 years old) my Sister that rescued a few tea cup Yorkies, turned us on to whatever it was (expensive) that she fed her dog's. Mugzie would eat it, and keep it down, but she preferred Mom's cooking...We ran low on our gifted food, and on a whim, I tried Natural Balance, Limited Ingredient, Sweet Potato & Bison Recipe...This was a game changer. I poured some in her bowl, and hand fed her a single piece. At first she didn't know what to think of it, and let it fall from her mouth. We repeated this step a few times, until finally she bit into it, chewed it up, and immediately went to her bowl and ate a fair portion. I was surprised. It's been almost a week. Mugzies appetite has been heathy, and because we walk every day, I've paid attention, and her stools are as normal and regular as ever, like there was no change in diet at all...Thank You Natural Balance...I highly recommend trying the 4 lbs bag (as we did) at first, to limit any loss. That said, right from the get go, this was a hit for our Mugzie, one of the world's most finicky eaters...

Less food for the inflated price. But, in its defense, we have raised a herd of bright , dynamic Great Pyrenees and currently are feeding a 6 month Saint Bernard eating machine. A 22lb bag never sees 2 weeks. It costs a fortune, no doubt. We do have as healthy, handsome and energetic a Saint as we've ever seen. We do add an egg a day and he does love small dog biscuits as ransom. But the food works. The price is worth a thriving dog, but a $200 kibble bill every month is painful.

My dogs love this. They’re littermates and have food allergies and food sensitivities. I’ve bought just about every Limited Ingredient dog food there is. Natural Balance is a reliable brand. I keep coming back to it. My dogs enjoy it and it doesn’t hurt their stomachs at all (a problem with some other brands). My only issue is it gives them stinky breath. I brush my dogs teeth daily. They’ve always had normal healthy dog breath. When they eat this food - it’s kind of fishy and stinky, hot breath. I guess it’s the particular kind of fish oil they add in. It’s the 8th ingredient in a long list of ingredients so that means there’s a decent amount of it in there. Anyways, I deal with the breath because this is a food I can trust for my dogs dietary needs - just thought I’d mention the drawback. The kibble is a larger circular kibble, usually light brown in color. It does have a fishy, kibble scent when scooping it into the dog bowls. There’s usually a ton of crumbs in Natural Balance bags - more than other brands - doesn’t matter to me or my dogs - but it can be messy when serving it. And like I said - my dogs really like it (to be fair - they’ve never been picky - but they really go after their meals so I know they enjoy this). As far as Sweet Potato being the first ingredient - well, that’s the case with most Limited Ingredient food these days. I definitely recommend this. My dogs do very well on it.

Perfect ingredients for my young dog. She allergic to chicken. So we found this food - my dog loves the taste. Healthy choice!

I bought this as yeast is not listed on ingredients. My frenchie has yeast issues and to date using this food he has not had any flare ups!
