I bought this 'extra giant' size as a replacement for the large size tray my cat has been using for about 3 years now. As with the large, the deep sides are what makes this tray such a great product and my cat can dig and bury her business to her heart's content. I decided to upgrade to the extra giant as I thought she was looking a bit cramped in the large (she's not huge at about 4.25kg but she likes to pee and poo in opposite corners on the short sides).On first looking at it I thought it wasn't much bigger than the large size. The area at the bottom of the tray seems quite small, however, once the litter goes in it creates more floorspace.This does take a lot more litter. One 6.35kg/14lb bag of clumping litter would nicely fill the large tray with some left over for topping up. This one takes a whole bag and needs more to get a good depth really, but my cat is happy enough with it for now. We do still get a small scattering of litter as she leaves the tray but that is probably more likely down to the type of litter we use getting caught in her paws rather than the actual tray.Five stars because my cat also loves the extra giant box the tray was packaged in. It's been by far her favourite bed.
