Lots of space! Lunch box/Briefcase!
This case, in my opinion, because of its size, can be used for multiple purposes, I will tell you what I use it for and you decide if it answers your needs. I drive a truck, and the one thing that annoys me the most, not to mention its dangerous, is not having enough room to secure my carry along things, I have no sleeper. I have been carrying a duffel bag and lunch box with me but that was a ineffective and really a pain. Not to mention I could never keep everything from rolling around in the floor, again dangerous. So I came across this case and changed how I packed a little and I was set. It is now my lunch box\brief case. To give you an idea of the interior room of this thing. In the main compartment I fit a 40oz Thermos, a 24oz thermos, a 16oz food thermos, and a 16oz thermos mug with handle, all standing up. Look for them here on Amazon, Thermos stainless king, line. All these fit with plenty of room. As you can tell that is a lot of liquid and yet the weight has not had an ill effect on the locks or structure of the case at all. The laptop holder inside the main compartment hold things like sandwiches, chips, snacks, (you know all the good road stuff lol) dental floss, again plenty of room. The outside will hold all my road paperwork (Logs, pre/post trips, bills of laden) all separate and organized and ready for easy access. There is a pocket and two pen holders on the inside of one of the flaps, I keep paperclips in the pocket and the pens location is just plain ol' convenient. Now to secure it, I keep a strap tied around the top of my passenger seat, I set the case in the passenger seat, raise the handle behind the strap and it does not move at all. The weight keeps it on the seat the handle held back keeps it from tipping over, even with all the dirt roads I run, it's perfect. So I have a everything I need safely stowed away and at an easy access always. I am thoroughly enjoying it! Two things, First,I know this review doesn't answer everyone's needs, but if this, or a variation of this is your case, I hope this helps. I can easily see how this can work just as well for a pick up or a car. Second, this is my first time reviewing a product so take it easy on me. Have a beautiful day!

No nonsense, rugged case for laptop and files!
I use this case to carry a laptop and case files back and forth from the office. I didn't need a bunch of compartments that I don't use. Just a laptop sleeve and a place to put the power cords and wireless mouse. Otherwise I just need a cavernous space to shove file folders. This fits the bill. There is a little zippered bag to put the powers cords and you just throw it on top of the stuff in the case. The laptop sleeve works well. It's built in to the case so it's more secure and protected. There are some other little places to put business cards, pens, etc. in the outside compartment but I don't use those features. The outside compartment is big enough for a few files that you might want to get to quickly without opening the whole case. I do use this quite a bit. I like the product. UPDATE: 11/15/2013 I have now used this case for one full year. I use it every single day during the workweek bringing a laptop and work files back and forth from work to home. It has performed perfectly. The workmanship has held up admirably. No fraying or broken stitches. Except for the scuffs from running it up and over curbs and the dirt on the wheels, it looks as good as the day I bought it. Although I don't abuse it, I don't treat it with kid gloves either, but it still looks great. So, bottom line, after a full year of use, I can't recommend it enough.

Great construction, durable and professional
I know have four of these. All of them carry different areas of the business. I go into financial and law meetings often and when I roll one of these in I get a lot of comments asking where I got them. They are so much more affordable than expensive brands, I have those too. I like these better. They are more sturdy, solid and hold more files, with the same dimensions as the top labels. A professional piece.

A Generally Good Case with Good Quality for a not Unreasonable Price, but Shortcomings Remain Present in it's Design
This is a good quality case if you are looking for a catalog case with minimal frills and generally good open storage space. The interior of the case, as all catalog cases, is a pretty large, open space, allowing you to pile in all kinds of large objects. There is a built-in sleeve inside that holds a laptop that is more than large enough for my MacBook Pro 15" (I suspect this slot cold hold nearly any laptop due to it's depth and width.) The notebook case has a somewhat useless Velcro closure strap at the top that doesn't attach correctly if you just pull the strap down to hold the notebook in pace (they did not put Velcro down the entire length of the strap, so mine just flaps uselessly, a real design flaw. Another "flaw" of the case, if you can call it that, is that the wheel wells recede into the interior compartment, making for awkward and difficult placement of items on either end of the case. There is also a flap on the outside of the case that can be used to hold pens, a few loose papers, business cards, and so on. But, here again, not enough attention to detail: the business card slots are so tight that I wrestle with getting even a single card in each holder, and I also struggle with getting pens in and out of the provided slots. These are all minor things that, if a little more attention would have been paid, could have made this a much more desirable case. Build quality seems to be reasonably good. I use it without too much worry down pavements, sidewalks, etc., and the build construction seems strong enough to bear a good deal of weight. I load the case with laptop, camera equipment, papers, books, electronics, and so on without much concern. The sliding handle also seems to work well, sliding up and down easily and also locking assuringly into place. It's a plain looking case, made of a somewhat dull finish light black nylon weave, so you won't garner much attention with it. It's generally reasonably prices for what you get, and if you can work around the shortcomings I've mentioned, I would rate it as a four star device. If not, look elsewhere for a case: there's plenty of them on the market. I continue to use this one daily for now, and, in spite of it's somewhat obvious shortcomings described above, am generally satisfied with it.

Otherwise the case is just fine, if you don’t mind buying a new one ...
I purchased 2 of these SOLO Classic Collection Rolling Laptop Catalog Cases but telescopic handle broke on both of them in a very short time. I read other customers’ reviews and it seems to me that many customers have problem with telescoping handle that sticks on this product. Otherwise the case is just fine, if you don’t mind buying a new one every 2-3 months, because the telescoping handle on this product won’t last much longer than that. I wonder why the manufacture does not put a better quality telescoping handle on this product. In addition, there should be a way to replace the telescoping handle after it breaks but there are no available parts that would allow customer to do so. Shame on you SOLO!

if you need something large and strong get this!
This holds all of my office equipment that i need when i am on the go. 2 laptops, 4 letter size books, power cables phone chargers, phones, pins, paper, printouts, i put at least 30 lbs in this each time i use it and it works like a champ. the wheels have seen there fair share of steps, i work on the top floor of an office building in the back, and live on the 3rd floor of an apartment with no elevator. If this was like any of the cheeper ones i have purchased in the past they only last 2-3 weeks i am very hard on them. this one has its cuffs but still holds to gether and does what i need it to and i have had it for a while now. i don't know what i would do with out it well i do but prefer not to think about my back being killed. its perfect for everythign i need if you have a lot to cary and need something to make your life easy get this! not so many pockets but makes more room to fit what you need in it.

It it a great improvement over a hand- or shoulder-carried briefcase
I have been in the legal profession for 40+ years so I have owned and worn out quite a few brief cases over the decades. I am also a musician. I play in a jazz ensemble that has about 250 charts to manage. Mine are in three large notebooks that I carry back and forth to band practices. I also have an instrument case for my alto sax and clarinet.. and all this stuff seemed to get heavier the older I got (now in my 70s). When the fabric case I was using finally gave up the ghost I got the bright idea of a rolling briefcase that I have seen other lawyers use because that looked easier than carrying it. It is very easy to manage while rolling and carrying the separate and heavy instrument case. It is reasonably priced, sturdy, roomy, with interior and exterior pockets. It has been very useful and I am happy with the purchase.

Happy with my purchase
I've been using it for a while now. Very happy with it. It survived its first canadian winter. Of course, it doesn't roll well in the snow and on the ice, but this is normal I guess with the kind of winters we get here. The case and the handle are very sturdy. It looks clean. Very functional/convenient.

I absolutely love it. Nursing books are so heavy and it has been a blessing to have them roll instead of having to carry them!!
