800 pump functionality is great; FYI: Be careful buying the 1200!
EDIT UPDATE 2016-12-02:Used the pump for one full season now. For me, that's about 28 days out fishing in that boat, using the pump. Pump is still working strongly, smoothly, and quietly. Can't guarantee it'spumping 800GPH, but it pumps a lot of water pretty quickly! Could be 800GPH; no reason to think it isn't.I would guesstimate the pump ran about 50 hours of actual pumping. Most of that is in 1 minutebursts every 3-5 minutes. On one particular trip, the pump runs full time for 1-2 hours at a pop, about 3-4 times on the trip. The *REST* ofthe time it runs day and night on 'intermittent' mode, about one minute spray every 5 minutes, because we'rekeeping large live bait in the livewell for catfishing. And like I said, it's still running strong and quiet.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------INITIAL REVIEW (made immediately after purchase as a 'buyer beware' type thing):The reason I am writing a review so soon after purchase is to possibly help someoneelse avoid the issue I had. I waffled back and forth between the 800GPHand the 1200GPH model. I had both in my cart, and decided what the heck...I went with the 1200.BUT what I didn't realize was that the input and output sizes CHANGED from 3/4"on the 500 and 800, to 1 1/8" on the 1200. On discovering the problem (with myhead down in the bilge area of my boat failing to get the pump intake pipe thru thetransom), I crawled out and went back to the Amazon page where I ordered it andDID see a little bullet item at the top when the 1200 was selected, saying that it was1 1/8". So it was my own fault, but I'm guessing other folks might not notice like Ididn't, OR might not REALLY realize what that means...Most aluminum boats under 22' have 3/4" diameter input/output livewell pump fittings. So if you buy the 1200, you have some serious work to do to make it usable, including drilling the current 3/4" transom hole out to 1 1/8" (which is likely to be difficult). Also the 3/4" hose going to the livewell sprayer won't fit on the pump output. So you'llneed to replace that hose, or get a 'converter' to take the pump output down from 1 1/8"to 3/4", which will restrict the pump output, and might stress the pump.

Factory Quality Part!
Same exact model as I pulled off and works just as well as the original so far. Perfect fit for my 90s bass boat, hopefully this one lasts another ~30 years.

Needs a gasket
I'm really happy with the pump and the price I paid for it but was a little upset that there wasn't a gasket for the 3/4" line that went through the transom. That's the only reason for leaving one star out.

Easy to fit and compact.
Further updates , we caught a bunch of livies and filled the livewell tank the pump ran for around 6 hours and the fish were happily swimming around in the tank. I also found that the tank filled whilst the boat was moving without the battery attached. update we went out for a fishing session today tues.26th nov. Great conditions 5 knot variables. We didnt get any livies but were able to fill the livewell tank real quick. We had a good session and had 9 snapper in the bin . I set up the washdown hose and washed the fish as i went scaling and gutting. The livewell was cycling at the same time no problems i had plenty of flow. The pump was quiet and used little power. So far i am really happy with my buy. The pump was still able to supply water to the livewell whilst moving spots at around 20 knts.I was going to buy the t800 with 2 outlets ,but I would have needed to drill 2 holes in the aluminium outboard well .So I got this one and added a tee after so I could run 2 hoses, 1 for a live well and the other for a wash down hose. Both hoses have valves to turn on or off or reduce flow. Using the Attwood mounting bracket it was really quick and easy to mount to my transom under the board platform. The intake is below the hull and have cut an angle in the tube facing forward to enable water entry whilst under way.i am happy with the clean set up and trust that I can rely on a quality product. I hope to use it next week .

Great pump for live well replacements
I used these to replace old live well pumps in my Lund fishing boat. As instructed, I cut the threaded intake to screw directly into the new flow-rite valves and all else I could easily hose clamp into the 3/4 in tubing. I added teflon tape to anything screwed as a precaution.Pump output was very solid for 1 weeks daily use to supply my live well and bait well. Pump output kept all lively when pumps were switched to the timed auto. Note: I upgraded from 500 gph to this 800 gph. Big difference -- glad I did.My only issue, thus bumped the install "stars" was the threading for the output tube will only screw that pvc 90 degree connection into 1 place/position. I beefed up the teflon to allow me a more snug connection without screwing it on too hard. This you see since I run tubing in half circle to accommodate.
