Striking Viking Mustache Wax Kit with Comb - 2 Oz, Vanilla, Strong Hold

Great mustaches require great wax. This product enhances a great mustache. The scent is great as well.

Smells great and the comb is awesome. The wax does not hold super strong.. so I use this when I need to keep it contained, but I don't need the perfect handlebar. There are stronger cans of stache wax available, but most smell like you jammed a bunch of playdoh under your nose.. BL: I use this wax the most.. like for work. If I wanna show off, I use the stinky strong hold wax.

The wax is unscented and has good hold. The amount of wax is good for the price. However the comb is just a cheap free gift item and is not very strong. I thought of it as a combo pack but i was wrong to buy this wax just so i could have the comb. But i have looked all over and there isn't a comb like it with a good keyring hole. So i buy it and the teeth are brittle and the first one lasted awhile and then i got a new job where i sometimes have to lift things and i broke my comb by crushing my pocket. So i ordered a second one and that one broke within a week. If i was able to buy just the comb for $5 or less i would keep buying them, but to buy jar after jar of unscented wax just to keep getting combs is a no-go. I myself prefer tree sap scented wax, and if this was available as a tree sap scent with the comb i would keep buying them but i won't use all of this unscented wax. Striking viking reached out to me trying to make it right with a refund. I told them what i really want is for them to sell the comb separately. They of course said they would forward my suggestion (everyone says that) but i really doubt we will ever see the comb(s) for sale as a side item. However because i was originally wrong to buy this (TWICE!) just for the comb and they tried to make me feel better, i have changed this review to more fairly reflect the actual value of the wax (and free comb)

This stuff has great hold. It's a nice hard wax that becomes the right texture using the pick to make about a pea size amount, then slide wax off between thumb and finger. Rub between fingers and apply to stash. I keep a can in the car for minor touch up and one at home.

It barely holds. Its more like a fregrance than a grooming product. I cant get 2 hours in to my day without my mustache going wonky. The comb was so sharp that it cut my upper lip while using it. A lot of wasted product i wont be using. On to the nest i guess Pros: it smells good and applies easy.

My husband likes it and I like the smell of it. Isn't too greasy and ease to use.

I have used various beeswax based mustache waxes in the past. My main wax was a training wax with "mud" in the name. For reference I have a full "Hungarian" style mustache with the ends extended out and up in a "Handlebar". So whether you want to call that a "Large Handlebar" or an "Extended Hungarian" would be up to you! I was looking for a lighter wax with more firm hold that wouldn't go limp while I sipped my tea or coffee. I really wanted to like this product. Unfortunately it was a complete strikeout for me. I may have just received from a bad batch? The Sandalwood scent is closer to "Red Cedarwood" with menthol undertones. The wax was nice and hard in the container but is very greasy in my mustache and has no hold. Which is why I'm wondering if it was a bit of a goof on the batch. Once applied to my mustache and worked through well, it stayed soft (like Vaseline) and over the next few hours continued to migrate to my lip and cheeks which required continued wiping because it had a strange menthol taste. Which also contributes to my wondering if someone "had a human moment" (as we all do at times) during production of this batch. So, currently I'm back to using "mud" training wax and one of my homemade beeswax based waxes for my mustache.

The quality isn't very good. You can throw the comb away right away.

I didn't get the comb or scraper. The wax smells nice. It melts much more quickly than Reuzell mustache wax. I'm curious how it will hold for a day. I'll update when I've tried it. Hoping the striking Viking will send me a comb, I need one. UPDATE-- Striking Viking reached out and offered me a full refund. I'm very impressed. But I actually have so appreciated the product that I don't feel right about taking a refund. Great wax! After a couple weeks of using it, it spreads nicely but still has good holding power through the day. Great product. Great customer service. Great price. Für diejenigen, die einen Schnauzer haben genau das richtige. Das Produkt gibt dem Bart eine schöne Form und man kann ihn mit dem Wachs entsprechend stylen. Der Inhalt der Dose ist auch ausreichend. Habe mir das Wachs vor fast 2 Jahren geholt und es ist immer noch nicht leer. Dabei benutze ich es auch manchmal, um meinen Kinnbart zu Formen. Alles in einem ein sehr gutes Produkt, das ich nur empfehlen kann.
