Southern Pacific - Greatest Hits

Southern Pacific had a decent little (short) run in country music. This CD contains the best of it.

I've been listening to Southern Pacific since the 90's when they formed their group. This is a great album with easy listening country music. More of the songs on this album should have been #1 hits in my opinion.

A friend of mine introduced me to this album. She knows my musical tastes pretty well. I immeadiatley liked it. The musicians are first rate. I'm not a country-western person, but this album rocks good enough to make me feel okay about listening to it. The lyrics are just killer, especially the tune "The Blaster." I also have their other album" Killbilly Hill." It's definetly worth the money just for the first album "Southern Pacific." I liked it very much. When I listen to it after not hearing it for a long time it reminds me of why I liked it the first time. To me that's the mark of a great album or CD whatever you want to call it. If you like country music with an authoritive hard rock edge to it then you'll love this CD. Whatever happened to this great band?

Believe it or not, I had never heard of this band until a friend of mine popped this CD into the player on a road trip. I loved it and bought my own copy, and it didn't take many trips before I knew it by heart. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was the incredibly schmaltzy, dragging "Trails of Tears." Kill that one off and it's one collection you'll be singing along to down many highways for years to come.

SP, Southern Pacific is just dang good music...can't go wrong on the price either.Make a great gift for someone who like's 80's country.

Great album. One of my favorite albums from the eighties. Could never find it locally. Glad I found it here.

Enjoyable to listen to.

I had their first album on vinyl and abandoned it when switching to CD and now deeply regret it. Southern Pacific were a polished country rock outfit and this is a top CD if you want a a taster Their music reminds me of the country side of the Eagles and is worthy addition to a collection if you like 80's and 90's country before it went too pop.For me, I'm now hooked and in pursuit of the original albums
