Yes, this building set is made of food grade ABS plastic material which is thoroughly independently tested in third-party laboratories, non-toxic, BPA-free, tasteless. All corners are round and the drill rotation speed is slow and steady , so children can play safely. It is durable and hard to break even if you hurl it to the ground! Great for 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 yr old children.

Do all pieces - including the drill - fit in the case?

All pieces fit. Drill does not fit.

The drill does not work, even after we took it All apart and reassembled. Only question is, why?? Can you send a new drill?

Our drill worked great and months later is still going. I would contact amazon to see if they can exchange it for you.
