Leather wrap is so stiff it slides on the walking stick no matter how tight it is laced! What is best way to soften and make pliable?

Hello, Mink oil or any leather oil will make it very pliable.

what size walking stick does this go to?

I'm not where I can measure my walking stick right now, but I think it has a diameter of 1.5-2 inches and the leather closes all the way.

What is the actual dimensions of the flat piece of leather? Also, how thick is it?

Finished size is 2/8 inch thick, 5"×4" finished dimension. Leather shrinks when after getting wet because it drys. Don't worry , when you work with the leather and pound your design into the leather it gets bigger and thinner. It is not as thick as your key holder. Remember this an unfinished kit. You put the design in the leather you want.
