So far so good .I already used this camera for two months already, so I wanna say ,this is worth to buy.It is very easy to install for anyone like me(never installed any wired electric).you just need to put the battery in and install on the wall.easy to set up,I used Same brand of indoor and outdoor cameras,I just need to add this door bell camera to my app,so easy and simple.If you are new you just need to download the free app and set up in couple minutes.WiFi connect very fast!battery keep long time ,I didn’t recharge yet since I started to use two month ago.It is ultra wide angle and in full night view!it is wide view then my outdoor camera even.The door bell send you a real time notification to you phone in one second.Like a lot of camera,you can see the live and talk or hear to the person who ringing your bell.Easy to communicate when you are not home.the price is very good too.If anything it can improve ,I hope they will include a wireless chime.Anyway,it is good to use and worth to have it.I am very happy to use it.

I have debated for months about getting security cameras. I bought this to add to the pack of indoor cameras that I purchased. This is a great quality camera. The picture is very crisp. The night vision isn’t the greatest but it does work. The only concern I really have is that my phone doesn’t always go off when someone rings the door bell, and the motion detector (person detector) literally goes off at least once every 5 minutes when there’s no one there. I can imagine this contributes to the battery drain. It said the battery would last a good while but I’m lucky to keep it running for a few weeks before it dies off. I’d still recommend it because it does do the job, even if it’s too well lol. And it’s cost effective.UPDATE:: so this camera worked great for the few few months, now, I can’t get it to charge at all. Battery shows that it’s connected to power, but it will not hold a charge. I am so disappointed because I really need a working video doorbell and this one costs just as much as the ring. I’m gonna end up having to purchase a whole new one for just as much money.. I have tried to find a replacement battery but haven’t had any luck… not very happy..

January and february 2022 , perfect worked perfect picture detection,night vision !!!Battery died completely, no charging.Seller don’t have replacement battery ! In my community do not allow electricity wire outside !!!!!!

This thing is a piece of junk. The batteries go out every 3 or 4 days and I have to recharge off the door for a long time. Battery power is supposed to last much long then that. And every time the batteries die I have to reset the stupid piece of junk and reconnect to the internet and everything. Its a real pain since I have it in a theft proof door hanger and have to keep removing it

This camera works great no wires and easy set up. Battery last about 3 months on a charge. I have been very happy with it. Over 2 years old now still going strong with original battery.

I purchased this in late October 2021 for our new home. We'd been using the Yi cameras indoors for a couple of years and had no problems with them - good 2 way communication, clear picture both day and night. While it's not as streamlined as the Nest doorbell, for the price, I can't complain.The installation wasn't super hard, and we charged the battery to full as recommended, hard wired it to power and set up the remote door chime. It had worked well until a couple of weeks ago when we noticed that the battery was low. I think I may have been under the impression that the battery wouldn't lose a charge that quickly when it was hardwired. And getting the cover off the unit while attached to the wall was near impossible (it's pretty impossible when it's not attached too). After a struggle, we finally accessed the battery to charge, but my goodness, it should be easier than this to charge a battery on a doorbell that's hardwired and attached to a wall! It's going to be annoying doing this every 2-3 months.My rating is related to the short battery life on a unit that is hard wired to power, and the difficulty accessing the battery to recharge. Functionality wise, the doorbell camera does its job - full, clear color during the day (can clearly see my neighbors homes across the street), and clear nightvision.

I have four other Yi cameras that I have used for several years with very few issues. When the Kami doorbell became available I jumped for the chance to get the doorbell as I wanted to use this doorbell as another camera but at my front door. Also I wanted to stick with Yi since I already have their app. There was no issue pairing the camera to my phone and it was easy to setup and test. The picture is very clear and when the doorbell is pressed it immediately sends a notification to my phone so I can see who's at my door. There's no SD card but it's for security purposes and I can understand why. I may decide to sign up for their cloud service in the future. So far it works as well as my other 4 cameras and I am happy with it.

The installation was not as easy as expected with directions provided. Especially when it came to hooking it up to our YI/Jami account we already have. It won't connect to out Google Hub when someone rings the doorbell. We also don't receive the doorbell notification on our phone unless we have the app set to allow all notifications. The doorbell itself does not stay online consistently. It is always dropping connection which is frustrating given the wifi booster is right on the other side of the wall from it. Needless to say, I was disappointed in the product

Idk why there are so many poor reviews for this doorbell. I’d like to say overall it’s not bad…Pros1. Great video quality.2. Easy to install3. Works perfectly with my Chime.4. App control is Super Convenient5. It’s the only doorbell I can find in Amazon Supports 5G Wifi….Cons1. No SD Card!!!2. Notification lags sometimes3. Thought Face recognition is free, but it’s not. Need to subscribe.I’d like to give it 7 out of 10, but regarding the fair price, 5 stars!!

Worked fine up until the return window was done. Now it doesn’t work at all. Have multiple YI/Kami cameras and this one didn’t even make 6 months. The battery fails every week and has to be removed and charged. It’s a big hassle.

Received item and the battery had issues from the moment we hooked it up. Doorbell was also wired into the house but we are constantly being told the battery is dying and to replace or recharge the power. Contacted seller for a replacement battery and they want me to send back the entire unit. Highly inconvenient as I mentioned it is already wired to the house. We no longer have our old doorbell and don’t wish to leave a hole by our door waiting for a replacement.

We have tried other but this one by far is the best. It’s been 5 months and not one issue with it even in -40 weather

There is no way to buy a battery with reasonable price. Dont buy this.Edit: thanks to Rose and Jestoni's in-depth troubleshooting advice and other assistance. I will give it another try with a third-party backup battery. I also revised the overall rating to 4/5 considering the hardwork of the support team.
