These work if installed correctly
These work, noise is reduced to almost nothing at the bedroom above the garage. You are suspending a heavy vibrating motor on rubber isolators that are installed on shear so please be careful. They may pop out if not supported. After I installed 2, the isolators twisted and since they are just compressed rubber at the mounting bolts, over tightening them will shear off the rubber. I added a diagonal brace to each side of the opener to install 4 instead of 2 isolators. The 4 isolators made the install much more stable (no more twisting) and they can handle the weight of the motor long term. I added 1.5โ X 5/8โ washers to both sides of the isolators to help the bolts inside press against the rubber. I added locking washers to prevent the nuts from unscrewing without over tightening. And lastly I added a rubber bungee cord to help take some of the load off the isolators and provide extra insurance. To reduce the noise inside the garage I installed Noico (same as Dynamat) inside the opener housing.

Insure the mounting nuts ate kept tight
Very good product. I ordered these for use on my Harbor Freight paint shaker 5 years ago and they worked perfectly reducing vibrations. The only reason they failed was because I didn't make sure the mounting nuts were tight the last time I used it. Keep the mounting nuts tight and they will last forever.

Does the job (for now)
Good thing about this unit is that you get four pieces. So if they turn out bad later or start wearing out, you have two more before you have to buy a new set. Overall it does the job, it quiets down the garage vibration and rumble into the bedroom upstairs. I did not test it using a decibel tester but I can tell it is much quieter. Maybe two times as much. Not very scientific but good enough. Another reviewer says to use some heavy duty zip ties to secure it so that it doesn't accidentally drop when those rubber fail later down the road. So I added two heavy duty straps, ensure it doesn't automatically just come down. Installation took about 30 minutes. I did use blue loctite on the threads to ensure that the nuts don't just loosen over time. Another option is to double nut it.

Mini split added protection
Better vibration control on a new mini split the ones the bracket came with was a joke and broke down in a few months , these help a lot with vibration start and stop with the compressor that's mounted on the side of the house esp with a wooden frame ... Unfortunately when the mini split runs on heat it's a bit more loud and these cut down on the transfer of sound to the inside of the house
