Hershey Silver Kisses 5 Pounds (Warm Weather Packaging)

Introduction: I am a Prime member, and I made some recent Amazon purchases for a friend, for products they needed to do an Appreciation Luncheon for volunteers in their church. The volunteers work really hard, and invest their own money and time, to serve meals to the families of deceased persons in their church. All seemed to have gone well for the luncheon, so it was viewed as a great success, at the time. Now, that it is over, a very embarrassing and sad element has been discovered. My friend who put the luncheon on, called and shared some bad news with me about the products I had acquired on Amazon, for the luncheon. Being a reviewer, and user of reviews, I see that I too overlooked warnings by previous people who had bought from this supplier. I would normally have caught the negative replies and have taken heed, but was in a hurry. The old saying "Hast makes waste", is so true. It caught up to us here.. And, so, I ask my friend to write up her review so that I could add it to the negative reviews shared by others. Below is her email note to me, to share with other would-be purchasers:Recently purchased 4 pound bags of chocolate candy kisses. I was putting them into a white Organza bag for favors that were given out to a large group of ladies for their volunteer work at our church that was held on Nov. 13th this year. I had several of the favor bags left over and for the first time today, I decided to treat myself to some delicious chocolate but unfortunately discovered that all of them that I unwrapped and ate were grainy and had an unpleasant texture and taste. VERY DISAPPOINTED. While I understand that chocolate can last for a year, it definitely needs to be stored in a cool dry environment. While it did not smell bad, I felt that due to incorrect temperature change, it caused the sugar to crystallized and was stale. In my case, I am unable to send them back as I explained that they were given out to over 90 ladies last week.Once again, very very disappointed in the quality of the product and a warning to others that they need to understand how chocolate can go bad if not stored properly even though the expiration date is still good.

Item was as described and shipped on time. Great product at a great value. Will order again from this seller.
