EXCELLENT product, does what it says
EXCELLENT tool for cleaning grand piano! I researched a ton before making this purchase. I recently bought a baby grand (my dream), and I'm pretty sure it was never cleaned under the strings. The cloth was black with old dirt (old piano). I washed it, followed the care instructions, and will use it again to make a 2nd clean sweep. Recommended highly!

Want to scratch your Sound Board
Steel will scratch sound board

Cloth thickness matters
The cloth included in this kit was way too thick to clean under the piano strings. It was difficult to maneuver and keep the metal covered while working through these tight spaces without scratching the soundboard.A thinner cloth would be exceptional in this kit.

Much better than nothing. Be careful using it tho.
There's nothing else that works like this for dust under the strings on a grand, not that I've ever found, but it requires a lot of care to use.I managed to scratch the soundboard in a couple places using this thing, it's stamped out and the edges were sharp. I rounded the edges with some emery cloth and that helped, still high risk for damage if you're not very careful, though. The dusting cloth included was too large, ended up cutting a wide strip from it and that helped getting under the low strings without getting stuck or digging in. Will look for a fiberglass wand in the future.
