This card will work with OpenSC, but with some limitations. You can use a PIVKey card using the PIV interface. This means that you can use a PIVKey with any application that support OpenSC (specifically the PKCS11 API), such as Firefox. You cannot generate keys or load certificates with OpenSC - the card is designed to use Windows Smart Card framework with the (free) PIVKey Admin kit. Finally, OpenSC has been changed so that it does not support a PIN on the Card Credential. The PIV Auth, encryption and key credentials work fine.
