Their twist caps. And even based on where they come from, they are very difficult to mess up.
It has a spring, it has a molded plastic cover over the spring, and when you twist it wires come together underneath it.I can't see how you could give this a critical number of stars, as it's one of those things that either functions or doesn't, rather than having a variety of levels of functionality.

Good for splicing wires in tight spaces
Great for splicing small wires in a tight space. Like a Honeywell, zone valve. Where there are 4 wires, 2 for the motor and 2 for the micro switch all in a small space. Need to replace the motor or the micro end switch, these work great to slice those wire back together.
