Question 1

How can I stop my color cracking and bleeding when I paint on fabric?

Accepted Answer

Mix your paint with Liquitex Professional Fabric Medium. This will help control bleeding while the paint is wet, increase flexibility once dry reducing the risk of cracking, and create a permanent finish that can be hand or machine washed.

Question 2

Why should I use Liquitex Pouring Medium instead of water or other mediums when doing an acrylic pour?

Accepted Answer

Liquitex Pouring Medium is specially formulated for acrylic pouring, ensuring smooth flow, vibrant color, and a crack-free, professional finish. Unlike water or other mediums, it maintains paint integrity, prevents crazing, and enhances flexibility.

Question 3

How do I prevent paint from bleeding when using masking fluid, and stop my brush from getting clogged once it dries.

Accepted Answer

Apply Masking Fluid to areas you want to keep paint-free and once dry, paint over it before carefully peeling from the corners for clean sharp lines. Apply liquid soap to your brush before use, and clean immediately afterwards to prevent clogging.

Question 4

How can I add the most luster and shine to my acrylic paints with Liquitex Metallic and Iridescent Mediums?

Accepted Answer

Mix Liquitex Metallic or Iridescent Mediums with transparent acryliuc colors for maximum luster, this lets light pass through and reflect off the metallic particles. Use on smooth surfaces, and avoid over-brushing to avoid a hazy look when dry.

Question 5

How can I create unique textures and effects in my acrylic artwork using texture and effects mediums?

Accepted Answer

Multiple Liquitex Effects Mediums can add 3D effects and depth to your artwork. Ceramic stucco dries to a light gray matte stucco finish, Glass Beads dry to a reflective finish for a bubble-like effect, and Natural Sand a textured beach-sand finish
