CirKa "A77" Premium Joystick Controller for Atari 2600

I ordered two of them, cause I wanted to replace my shortcuted ones, I love play my Atari 2600 currently, not everyday, but once a month, but my job don't not allow me. In my long experience as an Atari player (I'm 43), I fixed or gave mantenience a lot of my Atari joysticks, so I know how they are made. At the point, these joysticks are very similar to the original ones, in fact, works very close to the original ones, the feel is close enough, but the quality is only comparable to the 80's alternative generic joysticks, not to the original ones. I opened one to know how they are made, and I have doubts about if they can last, cause the joystick's core contact points over the PCB, are made of hard plastic, not made of flexible plastic like the original ones, I hope be wrong, the time will tell.

This joystick is not of great quality, but it works fine. The joystick was a little stiff at first, but after playing donkey kong for about 15 minutes, it loosened up some. The stick and button is very responsive. I definatly recommend this particular joystick controller over buying a used original atari 2600 joystick. Those were made in the early 80s, and its a total crapshoot over whether or not you will recieve one that works well, or works at all. Good buy for sure :)

The joy stick does not generate dynamic movement. The four directions are apparently controlled by switches rather than variable resistance potentiometers. The movement is "clicky" and moves or not depending on the motion of the joy stick. It has been too many years since I played a game of this generation so I am not sure whether or not this was the original behavior.

This are faithful reproductions of the original Atari design. So, of course, it will take some time to determine if they are too faithful...will they break as easily as the old Atari controllers?

Delivered as expected but kids didn't stay very interested for long. I guess this is more for the adults who grew up on Atari. Also wish Riverraid, Pitfall and Pacman were included. Those were very popular games growing up.

Joystick is a little stiff, but it is still almost brand new. Shipping was fast, and safe!Happy with my purchase, and this is a good Atari clone joystick.

It's okay... I bought them for my original Atari but the joystick doesn't work the best. I'll never be able to beat pac man now.

arrived on time, no problems. Product is just as described. I have been using it for about a week to replace wireless controllers and this is way more responsive. Has not broken yet as I see in some reviews. So perhaps I am just lucky or its still to happen. We only use it for about an hour at the most in a day.

Ces joysticks bien qu'étant des répliques, sont tout bonnement quasi identiques aux joysticks d'origine de l'atari 2600. Leur fabriquation est robuste, leur durée de vie est à priori également excellente (j'en ai déjà 2 depuis 3 ans et ils fonctionnent toujours aussi bien). Franchement Excellent !

Its okay as a modern replacement. The first one I received was defective, but my replacement works fine,It feels very different from an original controller, but the technology is 30 years newer.It doesn't have the springy feel of those old controllers, its a much more of a "click" when changing directions with this controller in pacman.

sympa mais fragile, car elle n'a pas supporté une partie de "Tennis".J'ai dû l'ouvrir, certains plastiques sont vraiment très petits, notamment ceux qui appuient sur les switches.Il n'y a aucune contrainte de place sur le fait que tout cela aurait pu être renforcé avec une autre conceptionJe l'ai donc renfoncé à coup de bouts plastiques supplémentaires pour pas que cela recasse, en espérant que ça tienne.Donc, qualité moyenne, si mes renforts tiennent, je serai satisfait au final ... sinon non.

I had to buy this controller for a friend after I got too excited playing his Atari and snapped one of his joy sticks. As far as I have heard ot works just like the original. Arrived on time.
