The majority of swimming pools in North America lack pool lighting. Pool lights must be electrically wired and planned for before the pool is constructed. Great little lights for not a big price, if they don't fail.
Contrary to other reviews I've read, my lights are working like a charm. I have 2 returns, 1 above the other, that have a threaded union, so...I bought 3 (one for a spare). Put several wraps of teflon tape around the male end of the light and screwed it right in to the return fittings. Not the brightest lights, for sure, but I can see the opposite end of the 15×30 oval pool, dimly lit.After a couple of weeks, one stopped working, so I just unscrewed the light, removed a small pine needle from the impeller, put it back in and VIOLA!!! Still works just like new. No fuss, no mess, no bother.For the money, you can't beat 'em, IMHO.Update:8/12/2019I guess I spoke too soon, so I've revised my 5 star rating down to three stars.A week after I posted the first review, one light quit working. Removed it, but nothing was jammed in the impeller. Removed it, put in the spare (no.3), and it's not working well. Lights flash on and off and won't stay on.Guess I'll have to ask for a refund or replacement. We'll see how THAT goes and update later.

2 of 3 Did not work, 3rd didn't work long...
My problem with these lights is only one of the lights worked at all, and it only worked intermittently. The quality assurance team in manufacturing need to be fired. These were a huge disappointment and were returned for a refund.

Great accent lights.
The lights go into jet outlet and the water spins a wheel and generates the lights. No batteries needed. Gives a lot of light.Be aware that these lights won't last the whole season if used daily. I put them on jets only when needed. Great for night swims...If you need accent lighting for pool at night. I recommend them..

Mood lighting.
I bought a three pack and didn't really much. They are perfect for a little mood lighting. The cast just enough light for atmosphere l, almost like having a night light around the pool. Very good product for the price. Make sure to follow the instructions on the package for them to work properly.

2 of the 3 failed. 67% failure rate is unacceptable.
2 of the 3 lights failed out of the box. This is a 67% failure rate there are more complex electronics such as flat screen TVs that have a less that 2% failure rate.
