Best blender
Best blender I've ever used! It's super powerful and can blend up mostly anything. I actually used it to make peanut butter and it came out great! It's really easy to use. The base is a little big but worth taking up the extra space in the kitchen and the plastic is heavy duty. The blades come super sharp! Overall I love this blender and I would recommend it for anyone wanting to invest in a more expensive blender that will last you forever!

Just buy it! So worth it!
Love my blender!!! So easy to use and so easy to clean! I don't understand why some buyers say it's loud. It isn't. I had a Ninja blending system. LOUD! I live in an apartment building and couldn't use my blender before 9:00 am or after 9:00 pm. Since I am a bit of a night owl, I like to use my blender almost anytime. With the Ninja I had to use smaller personal cups to make a nut milk or sauce. The blades in the main blender just whip food up against the sides of the container so nut dishes would be gritty and it didn't matter how long I soaked the nuts. The smaller cups create a vortex which blends throughly. I prefer to do large batches then freeze for future use. Just using smaller cups took longer to get a job finished. Then there was the clean-up issue. The base, container and blades have so many crevices making it a pain to clean! My Vitamix is so easy to clean! And it does everything! No need for separate blades depending on what I want to blend! One base. One container. Takes up so much less space than the Ninja! And it's quiet! Yeah, I guess you can tell I'm a Vitamix fan!

Makes the perfect smoothie!
Makes the perfect smoothie! This blender is a powerhouse. Smoothies come out perfectly smooth every single time—no chunks, no grit. It handles frozen fruit, greens, and ice effortlessly. Super easy to use and absolutely worth it if you make smoothies regularly. Worth every penny.

Better than cheaper blenders
TLDR; Significantly better product than competition in the sub $250 range. Every day I make a protein shake with milk, ice, peanut butter, protein powder, etc. I've done this for 5+ years. In that time, we've gone through 4 blenders in the $100-$200 price range. You can immediately tell that the Vitamix is much higher quality than products in that lower price range. I like that the variable control has a really wide range -- both much slower and the low end, and much higher power at the high end than other blenders. It does not magically overcome the basic problems of physics. If you do not put the ingredients in the right way and manage the variable speed, you will get air bubbles and other common issues. If the blades don't touch anything, they will not blend anything. If this disappoints you, then much much disappointment awaits you. However, I find these issues to be much easier to deal with in the Vitamix than in other blenders. I have yet to encounter the "overheat" problem that others have mentioned. Though, my previous Hamilton Beach blender would shutoff 2-3 times while making my smoothie. The Vitamix has yet to do this. So, I suspect it suffers from this issue less than competitors. It is tall. Arguably too tall. Get a different Vitamix if that is a problem for you.

DO NOT BUY THIS BLENDER!
DO NOT BUY THIS BLENDER!!! The motor times out even if all the “directions” to avoid motor shut down are followed precisely. I owned a Vitamix blender 30 years ago and that machine was a beast - it would blend anything and everything - everyone in my family, including our three teenagers used that machine - it lasted 10-15 years without any issues. This machine is obviously not the same quality. The instruction manual is a dead giveaway away as it has pages of information on just how to precisely load the blender to avoid triggering the overheat mechanism. Once triggered this blender is “dead in the water” for an inordinate length of time. What is ironic/sad/funny is that each time this blender’s thermal protection mechanism shut the motor down I finished blending my smoothies with a $49 Kitchenaid hand held immersion blender - it had no problem finishing the smoothie while the nearly $500 Vitamix served as nothing more than a “paper weight on the kitchen counter. It is analogous to buying a Ferrari and then reading in the instruction manual that if you drive over 30 MPH the motor will shut down 🙁. So avoid this machine if you plan to mix anything more viscous then a tablespoon of chocolate syrup in a quart of whole milk. Only saving grace is that Amazon was gracious enough to allow me to return this overpriced pathetically poor blender. Thank you Amazon!!!

Love vitamix...one caveat to this particular one.
I'll start by saying that I absolutely love my vitamix. It's pricey, of course, but you already know that going in so no surprises there. So far, everything that I've used it for has produced superior quality than any of my other blender brands used in the past. Green smoothies blended to perfection, silky smooth romesco sauces and soups, haven't tried salad dressings yet but I have no doubt they'll be fantastic. The ONLY issue I've had so far is with the tall thin container. Really inconvenient to try to put on the counter underneath the cabinets since it's so tall. It fits, but not with the lid on, which means I have to store the lid separately. If you have high cabinets or counter space thats not directly under cabinets then this won't be an issue for you. However if your kitchen is like mine, i'd definitely recommend the fatter, low profile container. I really wish I would have gotten that one to begin with. On the plus side, you can always buy one... but for $100+ on top of the already steep price tag, I'm not sure the inconvenience is THAT inconvenient. With the exception of wishing I'd got the low profile container, this blender is definitely superior, and what I would consider an investment in your health. It makes homemade much easier and efficient, which obviously has its benefits. While the price tag might elicit a little whiplash for us normal folks, I don't plan on having to replace it any time soon. And if you consider it an investment, it definitely makes the price easier to swallow.

Must have critical appliance when on liquid diets!
I had major dental surgery which has restricted me to a liquid diet for several months. This blender has been a life saver in its ability to blend all my foods. Clean up of this blender couldn't be easier either; just blend water and a few drops of dish soap for < 1 minute, then rinse completely, done! The plunger with this blender is great for working with harder to blend items and prevents anything from getting stuck while blending. Smoothies are silky smooth, even when using frozen fruits. This blender replaced a 20+ year old Kitchenaid blender that struggled with simple blended cocktails. There is a night and day difference of improvements between these blenders. For noise level, I wouldn't call this blender quiet, but I've heard louder blenders at businesses and friends homes. This Vitamix blender instead gets the job done quickly, so the blender isn't on as long as other blenders. I'm not surprised that this blender has a 7 year warranty. It's heavy and built like a tank. I could see this lasting for a long time even with my frequent usage every day.
