Excellent!!
Once again, Trice Hickman has pulled me into a series that I hate to see end! The second book in The Dangerous Love Series was every bit as delicious as the first. Geneva and Samuel have been living with their new daughter for the past 2 years, peacefully and happily. That is until news hits the town of Amber, Alabama that the person accused and imprisoned for murdering Geneva's late husband, Johnny, may in fact be innocent. This sends the main characters reeling - especially Geneva and Charlene, the prominent Councilwoman who actually committed the murder. In part two, we get a closer look at my favorite character, Donetta, a sophisticated, outspoken, and edgy transgender woman who has recently completed her male to female gender reassignment surgery. Both her struggles and victories with life, love, and happiness are highlighted. Ms. Hickman is very meticulous in her account of Donetta's transition and I was impressed with the level detail and accuracy she was able to provide while still keeping the plot moving at a consistent pace. As the story unfolds, we are introduced to new characters like sexy Phillip, emotionally damaged Lauren, and cunning Leslie and revisit original favorites. We find out how small Amber really is when these characters find themselves intertwined with one another over the Thanksgiving holiday (perfect, since I am reading this a week before turkey day!). This is a book that I couldn't put down until I finished the last page. The ending was a complete and shocking surprise, and I loved that I was unable to figure it out! One will not be disappointed by this wonderfully written novel full of colorful characters, surprising plot twists, and just the right amount of drama! I wouldn't be upset at all if there was a part three to this series. Or perhaps a spin-off for Donetta...that would be amazing! As an aside, I love how characters from her other novels randomly appear in her newer works! Great job and keep up the excellent work!

Deus Ex Machina
I enjoyed Ms. Hickman's first book in this series, and this one started off good, but then came the hand of God.Deus Ex Machina.Geneva had a portend in the form of a "nightmare" that revealed...almost everything.Really?Ms. Hickman couldn't find another way to Tues together all the loose ends that engaging in this tired solution? Pity.Done.

Excellent
Excellent sequel. This book had so many twists and turns I was dizzy. Although i liked the book it seemed like something was missing from chapter 31. It felt like there was a conversation that Phillip and his mom had that was not written in the book. I had to go over and reread chapter 30 just to make sure i didn't miss anything. Other than that..it was a good book and I highly recommend it.

THIS BOOK LEFT ME SPEECHLESS!
I've said it once and I'll say it again, I can't wait to see what Trice Hickman is going to do next. I don't think she can top Deadly Satisfaction, but I know she will! I'd give this book ten stars if I could. The plot twists, the well-developed characters, and the down-home references to all that good Southern food had me on the edge of my seat.Mary Monroe, New York Times Bestselling Author of Bad Blood

Excellent Read
This story reeled me in from the beginning. Charlene is an upstanding attorney in her community. Geneva is her stylist and friend who also happens to have a dog for an ex husband. Donetta is Geneva's best friend and business partner. These women's lives are entertwined in all sorts of ways. Couldnt put this book down.

Yes!!!
Exciting, intriguing, the characters came to life and will probably remind you of someone you know. I thought I knew the main question, but of course there was a twist that threw me completely off. It is a very good book, Thanks Trice!
