I'm really into these headphones!I LOVE headphones.I just do. I appreciate lots of them. I love a good audiophile set like my friend's high end Sennheiser set, but I will rock good cheap ones also if they match a killer outfit while I am out and about. My preference is usually for the type like this, an over the ear, but I will occasionally go for earbuds if I don't want to mess up my hair. I tried these out with the Bluetooth function last night on a 3 hour bus and train trip from Gaithersburg to Baltimore. I tried the FM radio in the office and on the bus, but nothing really picked up.Pairing with my Alcatel One Touch Idol 3 was effortless. However, I did notice while we were moving some interference in the Bluetooth. Initially I had an issue where the lights weren't blinking when I played music and emailed the seller. Before they got back to me, the lights started working, so no problems there. I had no problems cycling through the six provided EQ settings which made a noticeable difference. YMMV on the bass boost (final setting) It's there, but it dominates the rest of the sound. No problems with the song functions while listening to Spotify or Google Play music. In addition I made a few phone calls over the course of the day with no complaints. I could hear, and the mic was picked up well by the caller. Finally, the leathery ear cups were not too hot. I will look into replacement ear cups for looks, and also to see if I can get a velour style as well.In addition, the headphones can be used with an AUX cord if you run out of batteries. The seller includes a red aux cable for this purpose. I tested that from my Macbook today with no issues, sound wasn't able to use the EQ because the battery disengages during corded use.The good:Shipped quicklyNice, professional packaging, included aux cord for regular useFully cover my earsStyle! Simple, understated. I personally like the blinking lights too.Usable with aux cord if batteries run out or you're trying to conserve. I may use it corded while at work.Lots of functions here. FM radio, Card support (didn't have a TF card to test this), built in EQ, corded function (with included cord) and of course BluetoothSound quality is okay, but no audiophile quality. It did the job for the commute I took and managed to passively block out some bus noise also.Battery Life: I used it right out of the box without charging at work for a bit, then a 3 hour commute, and it was still working when I fell asleep with them on later that night. When I woke up this morning, they did turn on and re-pair, but warned me about low battery.Not so good:Initial issue with lights (fixed itself)FM radio couldn't pick up stations near me indoors or outSome interference with Bluetooth while on the busAll in all, I feel like you could do a lot worse for the price. I've dropped more than $100 on headphones with less features and worse style and sound. I did receive a discount in exchange for my review of these headphones. I bought these for my 12 year old son to use on our trip to Australia. When I originally opened the package, I thought these were huge. They are definitely larger than your average over the ear headphones.Pros from his point of view:- He likes how they light up on the side. It kind of looks like snake eyes.- He likes how he can listen to the radio.- Connecting to the iPad via Bluetooth was pretty easy, but I struggled to connect to my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone. T- The padding along the top makes it comfortable on his head.Cons from his point of view:- The padding on the ear pieces tend to bother the back of his ears if worn for more than 2 hours.- They are pretty big- They do not fold up nor very portable- You can tell these are not made in the USA because the voice prompts have an Asian accent.Disclosure - this product was received at a discount rate in exchange for my honest review.
