Quality is better than other reviews lead you to believe
Because of comments I read regarding quality I was apprehensive about ordering this kit. However, I didn't see any good alternatives so I decided to give it a try. In my humble opinion the quality is fine. Yes some parts are plastic but so what? Nothing broke during installation and it looks great. The only way to break something during installation is if you don't understand how it goes together. Because it's a universal kit you have to be careful to choose the correct parts. The finish goes well with my other brushed nickel fixtures. I've been using this kit for a few weeks now and it still looks great.

Great replacement unit as it fits many styles! I needed to replace my old moen with brushed nickel and didn't want to replumb the shower cartridge unit!

Great product and nice fit
Good fit and quality. It made a big improvement in our shower and matched the nickel finish of the shower wand. Easy to install.

Don't use included set screw!!!
The alan safety set screw is cheap quality. Because the handle feels loose fitting you will try to tighten it tight. Once you do the weak metal of set screw will strip. Then it will take a grinding wheel to remove the handle when the plating on handle starts to peel off. It would cost Danco a few cents to upgrade the set screw to stainless steal!!!. Besides being weak metal, the hexagon part of screw hole is not the whole depth, just at the very bottom. Not much for the alan wrench to grip on. See picture. Go to a hardware store and buy a stainless steel 6/32 x 3/4 screw or set screw and toss the included set screw. A regular stainless 6/32 x 3/4" worked fine for me. Unfortunately this is the best replacement part I have found to upgrade to new style.
