I can't believe how hard it is to find books that not only present interesting hairstyles for curls of different lengths , but also have clear step by step instructions and illustrations showing how to create each one. Of course, there are now online hair videos for some popular styles, but the content is not yours and may disappear at any time so it's nice to have references like this book. I am looking for resources that I can use to build a small repertoire of diy styles for my 4b curly hair and this book fits the bill for curl out styles (styles based on twist -outs, curl-outs, etc.). I hoped this book would have more tips on wearing hair down and methods for helping frizz etc.Pros: Many of the styles are good a d fairly simple to create, the twist out abs braiding tips were useful, styles for all hair lengths, most require very few products (hair band, bobby pins, curl cream, bun creator,) to create, easy to use table of contentsCons: about 1/3 are just variations of the same thing, lots of styles that are just pinning hair in various ways not without describing how, not enough in-depth description.Bottom line: While there are many creative ideas, many of these styles are on YouTube and are explained more thoroughly there.

I like the tutorials in this book and how it takes you step by step, but I felt it wasn't enough information on curly hair in general. It was a nice buy and for whenever creativity strikes and I want to style my hair differently, I will crack this book open. But it really seems pointless in that I could just watch YouTube and basically get the information in this book online.

Hair Blogger Samantha Harris from You Tube put out a great book of natural hair styles, products and knowledge. Love the diverse faces and looks on each page it's nice being able to read and learn how to create each style. Highly recommended for anyone that is looking for creative and healthy ways to style your hair. Thanks Samantha for this book .

Covers all areas of varieties of curly hair care with lots of options for hairstyles

This book has so much great information about how to tame a curly mane. I have fine, thin blond hair and I have struggled with my hair since I was little. This would make a great gift for a teen or pre-teen, I eish someone had given it to me at that age . The pictures are beautiful and the tutorials easy to follow.

Love her! Been watching her tutorials on youtube which changed so much with my hair, I was stoked to find out she had a book. I love it!
