Just the lid
I got these because I somehow kept losing containers! they make storage easy. more sturdier than I expected, thicker material. The closure seal seems to be tight, and this is a pros for me but can be cons for others -- it may be difficult to open the lid, and you just have to get the hang of it. I have used one container 3-4 times now, and the lid is kind of curved? it's a bit annoying when you try to fit in to your dry rack. Other than that, no complaints so far!

The containers themselves are pretty nice and met my needs. Unfortunately though, quite a few arrived broken during shipping which was a frustrating discovery. Would not repurchase due to issues with shipping.

these'd be a bad pick for kids
Heavier duty than expected. Difficult to get the lids off. You can't merely peel them back. The force required to separate lid from container (in one step) would fling the contents about. Because of that, these'd be a bad pick for kids, arthritic, and anyone who's the least bit impatient. One has to separate/lift the stubborn lid edge, inch-by-inch, until it releases. As you work beyond an already-loosened edge, it tends to re-secure. For my purposes--freezing and storing broth--I'd choose that hassle over a leaky seal.

Not good at all
I was so disappointed with the quality of these containers. In fact, a lid arrived with a crack in it. The containers are thinner than the ones I receive with soup from the local Chinese food take-out stores. I am even afraid to put them in the top rack of the dishwasher, since they are so thin. Perhaps we receive different ones, but the ones I received, that are listed here, are not worth what I paid for them, even with the "lightening deal" price.

Two Stars
Nice size but the lids crack and split after 3 to 5 uses. Disappointed!

These are so much better than the quasi-disposable ziploc type things you get at the grocery/walmart. At this price point, I don't feel bad if I give them away to send people home with leftovers or if they get destroyed. In my experience, they hold up just about as well as the ones from the store, and they also stack much more neatly. I just buy a new 36 pack every years or so now to replace ones that get worn out, that I break (they do shatter if you drop them when they are full of frozen soup), or that I give away. Or hell, if I forget something in the fridge for WAY too long, I just throw the whole thing away to avoid having to clean the stinky, moldy food out.

These containers are so versatile. I used these containers to store samples of paint needed to paint a theatrical set piece. Sometimes we only need small amounts of a color when painting a design. I was working up on a ladder and was able to carry up a bucket with many colors in small amounts. No more lugging up a full gallon of paint when only a pint is needed. The lids sealed securely.(only found this out when I knocked over a stack of colors) I was also able to mark the color and set description on the containers with a permanent marker. Thanks for such speedy delivery.
