A great disappointment
Trivial garbageI’ve read many of Tami Hoags recent novels which have held me enthrall - even as a love story this is dreadful- boring and oh so predictableWhat a shame - I’m done and will never again buy another of her novels!

Buyer beware!
Mismatch is being marketed as if it were a new Tami Hoag book, typical of her recent mystery offerings. It is not. Several of her older, light-weight romance style books have been re-packaged and are being offered as if new presumably to capitalize on her current reputation. This is the second time in the past few months that I fell for this.Mismatch's publication date is 2008. After I received it and read the first few pages, I could immediately tell that this was definitely not something that I would normally read. I checked the inside cover and knew why. The Copyright date for the book is 1989. The Copyright date for the "Cover image" is 2008. Old book, new cover. The age of the book alone would not have caused me to give it the 1 Star rating. Lots of terrific reads are older than that. And, the basic premise was okay, if unoriginal -- two incompatible people are thrown together and despite their difference, are irresistably drawn to each other. The core problem for me was that there was not much else to the book. The plot was almost non-existent, the character development was shallow (and it is a stretch to even reference characterization at all with respect to this book), and the writing was completely uninspired. Other than the mundane descriptions of mutual lust, the most exciting thing that happens here is a sheep chewing up the pages of a report that then has to be re-copied and sent again.Spoiler Alert - Just joking. There can't be a spoiler. From the minute the two characters meet on Page 7 and the silly descriptions of their desire begin on Page 11, you already know what the outcome will be. And the journey getting there could not duller.

CUTE
I thought too that it was going to be a mystery. I like Tami Hoag books but didn't know she wrote romance novels long ago. My fault, I should have paid better attention. This is a cute book, I enjoyed it but won't buy anymore romance novels. Tami Hoag is a number one mystery/thriller author and I cannot wait for her next book.

Mismatch
I was sadly disappointed in this particular book of Tami Hoag's. I have read many of her wonderful novels in the past and was pretty much expecting another wonderful thriller. Instead I got a short love story - boy meets girl, relationship questionable, all's good in the end. This is the first time in all the years of purchasing and reading Tami Hoag's novels that I have ever been disappointed in her books. All of the previously read books would normally rate a five star from me. I could only give this one a one star.

Mismatched
I am a FAN of Tami Hoag. This book, in my opinion was on the light side, with a reasonably good, but predictable story line. However I felt the sex angle going too far and too long-windedly at times. A bit more hassle from various parties and perhaps the press would have made it more interesting. Still a fan though and getting Alibi Man... Hoping?..Hannie

Perfection
Romantic fiction at its best. A good plot and well developed characters. Excellent diversion from life's cares, if you want to get away from it all, this will do it.

Very low
This book is of very little interest and has no depth at all. I have read most of Tami Hoag's books and enjoyed all of her thrillers. I think she should stick to thrillers. This is not a good style for her
