I purchased a set of these mini lights initially to use on my son's Halloween robot costume, but planned to use after as a reading light. Right out of the package, when turning on, one was dim and shutting off quickly, and the other was a nice bright light, but would shut off in 15 seconds or so. I opened the battery compartment to ensure that wasn't the issue and adjusted some of the hardware, and that did get them to work. However, when trying them again that night, they did the same thing. I returned the set and ordered another and had the same exact issue, so again returned those. It was unfortunate as they were going to be the perfect size for the costume, but sadly I couldn't use them even after I and my husband attempted to repair them. Not sure if it is a circuit problem or battery connection. The return process, however, was quick and easy, and Amazon refunded me very quickly, so that was appreciated.

Some might think the item is damaged because it won't say on. You just need to double click the power to get it to stay on.

Well, at first I thought it was junk because it would only stay on about 3 seconds then I started reading the reviews and seen where someone said to double click and it actually works and stays on. Not super bright but it's okay.

If you expect the quality to be on par for the price these are a home run. If you are expecting a name brand quality light for this price you will be as sad as a diabetic at Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. Cuz these are not they.I have one Velcroed to the top of my clip bored and the other one I have glued to my ice chest lid.

In spite of the not so great reviews, I decided to risk buying this two-fer and am glad I did! It's the only product I could find after several hours search that came even close to what I needed a tiny light for: lighting up my TV remote. The soft part of the velcro glues on to the remote, so you can just take it off whenever it bothers you, or if you want to use it with the removable clip as a book light or something. Twists easily. Turns on/off with a stronger press of the button. This tiny lamp has solved a problem that has bugged me for literally years! I don't know yet how long the battery will last or if it can be replaced by opening the back with the itty-bitty screws...will update. I can recommend this product.PS One press = light goes off by itself after about 20 secs, double press= light stays on until you press again.

This light won't stay on. Brightness is okay, for the moments when it's flickering on and off. It either just doesn't turn on or it flickers on and off.

I'v got three thermostats that have complex LCD displays and NO backlighting. They're impossible to read without a flashlight - or - one of these babies. I have tacked one on the wall next to each 'stat. One push gives me about 10 sec of light to read the screen. I don't do the double press to leave it on. It's probably not much good as a book light, but for a stereo or something with control labels that are hard to read this is just the thing.
