The unit I received does NOT work with my laptop. It won't charge, and neither the USB ports nor the ethernet are recognized. It just cycles "charging/not charging/charging/not charging" endlessly every few seconds.Attempts to troubleshoot this with the manufacturer (who is also the seller) did NOT go well. That produced such gems as "Would you please have a try charge other your devices?" Grammar aside, the purpose of this is to charge my laptop, what "other devices" should I "try charge?" This doesn't charge anything anyway, it just goes between the laptop's own power adapter and the laptop to allow you to use a couple of USB ports while charging. When I asked them this, they did not answer.They have in fact, refused to communicate at all after that initial response. They did not offer to replace or return the product. Since I bought this 26 days ago, the impression I get is that they're trying to wait out the 30 day return period. The "12-month warranty and good customer service" mentioned in the description are just a mirage.So, as it stands, I have no idea whether I happened to get a bad unit, or whether this device isn't up to the task of interfacing with the USB-C-using 2016 Macbook Pro, possibly due to its power requirements. (Although according to the Internet a 2016 Macbook Pro will charge from a 2016 Macbook power adapter, albeit very slowly, so the Apple side isn't the issue.)Getting a single bad unit (if that's what happened) doesn't necessarily merit a one-star review -- glitches and defects happen -- but the poor response and lack of follow-up from the manufacturer certainly does. :-(

Not for my 15" MacBook Pro 2016
I'm reluctant to write strongly negative reviews and I like to give a seller a chance to make things right, but it is time for the review...My 15" MacBook Pro 2016 cannot be charged with this device. It just constantly beeps as it thinks it connects and disconnects to power while connected to this hub. My ethernet port and USB ports work fine, but I need to disconnect the power cord, which negates the reason for having the hub. Also, my Magic Mouse will not work properly while I have the device connected. The seller has been very responsive in several emails, stating that I need to load some new firmware, but they have been unable to supply the code, repeatedly trying to send me an email with an attachment that I assume Amazon continuously blocks for my protection. I asked the seller if they have any other way to deliver the firmware and they say that they have no website and just ask me for different email addresses. I'd give it a zero if I could for my MacBook Pro..
