Universal Transfer Punch - Small

Wish I had found these years ago. Just tested it out on a block of wood through a bolt size gauge, works great! The only thing I noticed is that while the specs list it working up to 3/4”, it only works to 5/8” on this smaller version. It moves around not centering in a 3/4” hole. If needing to go larger than 5/8”, simply buy the larger size. I only needed up to 9/16” anyway, so no complaints here. Saved a few bucks by getting the smaller size rather than the larger one. Comes in a plastic box to keep it stored and not allow the pin to slide out and get lost.

Due to the taper that allows it to be universal it also needs to go deeper into the piece you are trying to copy. No way a 1/2" hole in 11 gauge is gonna happen unless you space the original from the new piece. Still a great carry around toolbox piece.
