Mini-Keg

Works great in my table top beer dispenser. I just take it to one of my local beer sores or micro breweries for a film up.

Love this mini-keg! It arrived in good condition and I promptly filled it up with a black IPA that I had just finished fermenting. I let it sit for about three months before tapping and the beer tasted AMAZING. It tasted far better than the same beer that had bottle conditioned. If you are considering switching to a mini-keg setup, I highly recommend it. I use these mini-kegs in conjunction with the Party Star Deluxe tapping system. I like these because they easily fit in my refrigerator and don't take up much space.TWO THINGS:1) The description said a two piece bung is included. I didn't receive one and it looks like other reviewers didn't get theirs either. Amazon should change the description. Still a great product. Just a heads up!2) While it is really nice getting a blank mini-keg like this, many of your local liquor stores (bevmo, total wine, etc) will sell mini kegs just like this already filled up with a good german beer for about the same price.All in all, I love this and plan on collecting as many as I can! Sure beats bottling.

Update:So I found out that the silly little plastic bung they provide with the keg is not the right bung. Evidently it is just to keep dust out. I purchased some real bungs and all of a sudden these items are very good. Why the heck they wouldn't sell these with real bungs or at least mention it in the description is baffling.Orig review:I purchased five of these. Love the idea, concept is lacking. Totally useless for storage of any kind with the cheap plastic bung. No way to seal these and even the slightest amount of pressure leaks out. Why go to all the trouble to create a sanitary environment and then put your product in something that won't seal? Fix the bung and these are great.

I have had a whole host of trouble using these kegs. I ordered 3 for a batch of homebrew with the proper bungs to lock it in.Because my beer produced a large amount of pressure from the carbonation. My legs began exploding and eventually a whole even settled. I tried early extraction to release pressure, but there is only so much I can do with a rowdy batch. My bottles with this batch have been fine, but the kegs have been doing poorly.The other issue is the nozzle. There is pressure leaking that occurs around that area, so some liquid extracts and it is hard to move about.My recommendation is to try and find some bung that is reusable and allows for pressure release if it gets too high. But for me, I would rather pay more and get something a little more reliable than these. My product is now damaged and I am rather disappointed.

These little kegs are great for three gallon batches of beer or cider, think they are about 1.3 gallons each. They appear to have some kind of tap on the bottom that can be used gravity feed with out pressure I am guessing so flat beverage yuk. The tap that comes in the kit fits down through a rubber stopper and then you can charge the whole thing with a c02 cartridge like for a pellet gun.Was originally looking for a container that I could put in my beer tender, this looks like it will fit but not with the tap on without some serious mods to the lid. Company that sells these is great to deal with, will be ordering again from them! Have not seen these or the tap anywhere else online, looks like they are imported from Germany.
