Classics on Stage: A Collection of Plays based on Children's Classic Stories (On Stage Books) Paperback – January 6, 2016

I'm an elementary drama teacher and these scripts are great for my students. I'm always looking for simple scripts to use with my students. These are perfect! I am using the Wizard of Oz script with my dram club (3rd-5th grades) this year and I love it!

Such a cute collection of plays. My daughter and her theater friends absolutely loved putting together their own production of Thumbelina.

Awesome collection of short stage classics keying on stimulating a child's interest in theater tho entertaining for us adults, too (most especially if you have an opportunity to witness these standards performed live by young folk which would be loads of fun). Don't skip over the first entry 'Wizard of Oz' 'thinking "been there, done that" as it was my favorite from the set of ten given the creative manner in which the story was brought to life. Was surprised to see 'The Canterville Ghost' included in this collection never having read it before, but given the number of children present in the play version I can now appreciate that tale even more. Handy links were provided from table of contents to ease finding your favorites but for 'Peter Pan' and 'Pinocchio' (two very short plays allowing you ample freedom to expand on it to your heart's content) and book finishes with a flourish in the ever-popular 'Around the World in Eighty Days' which has me wanting to revisit the movie version sometime soon. Great book and looking forward to reading more from this author!

When I first starred reading this I didn't like the layout but then I realized that these are scrips and it is a really good book to read if you are thinking of putting on a play! Its a really good nook!!:):);););):)

This is great for kids. Used it at camp, and it was a hit.

We are excited to use The Wizard of Oz this year for our homeschool Drama Club.

This is just OK, I didn't use it with my current class, hopefully the next class will have some use for it..

Wonderful, useful book. Kids would enjoy reading these scenes.

Lovely collection of short plays for primary aged children. Well arranged and a good variety. Received as free download so very pleased with this.
