I really love these speakers, the sound is super clear and even at high levels of volume it stays that way. Will probably not swap them any time soon.

I did a lot of research into this class of speakers including the music studio powered monitors from KRK, Yamaha, etc. For me, the AudioEngine speakers best fit the bill. I just wanted a set for my listening room that I primarily use via blue tooth with my computer or phone as a source. The studio monitors are OK - but you have an integrated amp in each speaker - which means a power cord for each speaker and you would have to hook your wireless receiver into each speaker. Kind of getting away from the simplicity I was looking for. As countless others have reported - the A5+ sounds really great. Maybe someday when I grow up I can afford the AudioEngine Wireless setup (the W3?) and hear even more good stuff. But for my money - the A5+ sound incredible and were very easy to set up. I also bought the Philips BT reciever and that is how I get audio to these beauties. On the buying/delivery experience. I ordered them from Amazon on a Wednesday night. By Friday morning they were in my hand. Regular shipping. That was amazingly fast service! Great job!!

I am not a audiophile but I hear to hear to music when I get back from work. I earlier had a Klipsch S4i and Creative 5.1speakers which went with my desktop and was pretty satisfied with the quality. I had to move so I had to leave Creative 5.1 speakers and desktop behind. I began searching for a good 2.1 speakers to go along with windows laptop and iPhone. This search ended after 45 days and change 3 speakers after I got to these wonderful speakers. I am one of you guys who search reviews and buy things from the internet. My first buy was Klipsch 2.1 Promedia Wireless, which I bought directly from the company website. I read great reviews from many websites, people praised it a lot and mentioned that they had it for years. Only good thing about the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 that you could connect to the system wireless with a USB dongle. The sound quality was pathetic, sounds of frequency between 300-900 Hz disappears. I tried a lot things to build by these frequency with equalisers and many audio tweaks but was unsuccessful. I tried to give it some proper burn in time for these speakers but with no help. After wasting two weeks I was frustrated and decided to send them back. My suggestion for you guys is that never buy Klipsch 2.1 Promedia if you need quality sound. I went for the online reviews and decided to buy Harman Kardon Soundsticks III. I bought them through Amazon and it arrived on time. I was impressed with the design of Harman Kardon Soundsticks III, it also delivered sound much better than Klipsch Promedia. The high tones are more clear than the middle tones. I am not into bass but it still gave good output in the lower frequency. I also followed the same proper burn in time for 2-3 days. The sounds from the Harman Kardon Soundsticks doesn't have the natural feel, and the sounds of the vocal range are not that brilliant. Actually the sound will 'hurt' your ears. You may keep Harman Kardon for their design and if you are low on desk space. But I think you are person who love music you may not tolerate it more than few hours. For me music quality was very important so I decided to send them back. Audioengine 5+ Speakers had very good reviews and PCMag had ranked it as one of the best 2.1 speakers. I decided to go for it and today I am really happy that I returned Harman Kardon and Klipsch back. The sound quality of Audioengine 5+ is just amazing and it delivers very crisp across all frequency. I have listened to all genres of music on these speakers and the performance of these speakers is just awesome. I have no complaints for these speakers with regards to the sound quality and suggest to all of you guys looking good speakers. The only downside is that they are little bulk and will ask for a good desk space. I have not come across any heating issues that few reviewers have mentioned. Actually I spend a lot of time listening to music just because of these speakers output is so good and its worth every penny. UPDATE : After 4 months, I am in love with these speakers, continues with the same great clarity and natural sound. If you can afford $400 look no further.
