NOT A ROLLS ROYCE OR A FERRARI OR A HUMVEE, BUT A NICE TOYOTA
This product is not a high quality one. It is not luxurious. It is not sturdy and it is not the best designed gadget. But it is a damn good table for the price and it does the job and it has all the features I could hope for. You just need to take extra care of it.

Works great
This is a great laptop stand. Super easy to use. The only thing I wish is that the legs were a little more tight. That I could tighten them in all directions because it's a little wobbly if on a hard surface. Maybe that's how they're suppose to be. I'm not sure this is my first time owning one. Otherwise, it definitely does its job. Lifts the laptop off my lap and makes it easier to use and keeps it cool. Love the fan.

Best Available on Amazon for One-Handed Use
(This review is actually written by Jason's wife) This laptop table works very well and I really like it and use it a lot, but it isn't perfect. I recently got a subscription to photoshop and lightroom and purchased a Macbook pro shortly afterwards as my previous laptop was not up to the task and a serious car accident has rendered me unable to sit for more than about 1/2 an hour at a time and I cannot move my left arm much without my unstable shoulder pulling my neck out of alignment and causing constant migraines. Anyways, I needed a table that I could set up and put away while only using one hand and that could handle having a mouse and a physically small external hard drive in addition to the laptop. I didn't especially care if it had a fan, but it is a bonus knowing that I have it if I want it. Also factoring into my decision to purchase a table was the fact that at least one of my two chihuahuas wants to lay on my lap under my blanket while I'm laying or sitting and I wanted to ensure that they could do that as well as get in and out if they needed too. This table works pretty well for all of these needs. I can unfold the legs easily, lock/unlock the legs to adjust the height, and adjust how high the table sits by extending and locking the legs all with one hand, although adjusting the leg height is a bit difficult because the legs do not slide up and down as easily as they should. They seem to be warped or not put together in proper alignment because there are visible scratch marks on the areas of the inside part of the leg where they are making too much contact with the outside part of the legs (although it's not very obvious as it is a darker silver color, on the upper part of the legs when your eyes naturally focus on the top, and not visible when the legs are not extended, like when you put it away). I can also tilt the table with one hand by releasing each lock, pressing on the top to tilt it towards me, or using my elbow to hold down the bottom part of the leg while using my hand to press upwards on the top to tilt the other way, and locking it when it's where I want it, There are imperfections with all the these, however. First, the locks are only unlocked when they are perpendicular to the ground and because they lock in either direction, it's very, very easy to have one not be totally straight down causing one side to lock up when it shouldn't; and even when they are perfectly aligned, one side will still act like it's slightly locked. Second, it is almost impossible to get the table to tilt completely evenly, mainly because of the lock issue. This isn't usually very noticeable in practice on a couch or bed, but it does require a bit of fussing, especially when folding the legs to put it away- I always have to re-release the lock on at least one of the legs to get it to lie flat. Others have mentioned that they wish the legs would lock in the open position (in addition to locking telescopically) and I agree. In fact, with one hand, I have to remove each of the items from the table, fold it up at least partially and put it somewhere else to just get up to do something. I don't know that I would trust my expensive laptop and external drives on there while trying to move the table with one hand, but knowing it would stay in position when setting it down would be a time saver and for most people, that would mean that the entire table could be moved and set aside with everything still on it and would make getting up a lot faster and easier. Perhaps they could make the tilt locks only go one way and use the extra real estate to put a second lock? Anyways, it seems like this is one of the best options on Amazon with enough reviews to know what you're getting in this style, and it has what I really needed to make it usable for me in my current condition, but I also considered another very similar table that was about 1.5 times as much, but didn't have any reviews and wasn't available with prime shipping. Similar tables are similarly priced and rated now, so it doesn't seem that there is one of better quality with this type of design available on Amazon now. Most of my complaints are minor and are things I can live with, but if they were fixed, I would happily pay a lot more money for a table that works as it should and can be used with one hand.

Epic FAIL!
Purchased this product to be able to help in my small business when I am working on my couch or occasionally in bed when I am traveling for work. I was very hopeful when it got here and pulled it out of the box immediately. FAIL 1: As I removed the product from the box the lip that holds the laptop in place came off and fell to the floor. This shocked me as I didn't expect to be something that just sat in place with no security. FAIL 2: I opened the legs to lock them into place so that I could use them while working on my couch. Once I put my laptop on top of the desk and started using it the legs began to slide down despite being locked. This was highly frustrating as I needed it for the height and not to be on my lap and causing neck strain. FAIL 3: I decided to go ahead and try the tilt of the actual desk as well. I decided to do a slight tilt and a full tilt. While it worked well the knobs turn extremely easily and don't stay in place if your leg or anything else bumps them therefore moving the tilt while working. FAIL 4: When the fans were plugged in to the USB drive on my computer they made a high-pitched annoying sound. I checked to make sure that nothing was stuck in the blades and nada. Couldn't handle the sound so I unplugged it and just had it free-vent. PRO: The USB cord for the fan wraps nicely around two pegs underneath the laptop desk. Overall, I would not recommend this product for regular use as the quality is poor and there are many others out on the market that would work better for your needs.

Had to knock one star off...
I bought this so I could comfortably read heavy hardback books on the couch. I chose this one over about 6-7 other candidates due to the fact that it didn't have an unmovable flat area to the right of the reading surface. I don't plan to be needing a mouse surface or a stand for food or beverages. Second, because of the angle it could be moved to as shown in the pictures. Third, because it looked heavy enough to hold this light: http://www.amazon.com/Mighty-Bright-Orchestra-Light-Adapter/dp/B003B0I09Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402955933&sr=8-1&keywords=mighty+brite+orchestra+light which is too heavy to clip to a book or a Kindle but is perfect for reading large HB books!! Fourth, thin enough to clip this light,(I saw several LTD,(lap top desks) that were very thick). I really didn't have a use for the fan and have yet to try it out. Now, for why I took one star off the rating. I needed for this to tilt to a greater angle than it actually does. I thought I could simply turn it over and defeat whatever was keeping it from tilting further only to find that it has a double restraint. I thought that the lock down dogs on the sides under the table surface would be sufficient to hold this at whatever angle I chose. Not to be. I am able to read books and it does hold my light perfectly, so I gave it four stars. I would've liked to have had more angle adjustment than provided. I didn't experience any of the problems that the one star people left for this wonderful little desk. No collapsing, no automatically snapping shut... etc., etc. I would recommend this because it does what it says it does. I would buy this again!

Solid, adjustable, tall
I have a tall sitting height, and an ergonomic review at work meant I needed the center of my laptop screen to be about 12 or more inches above my desktop. Most stands didn't seem like they'd go high enough. This one does. It was easy to unpack, set up, and adjust to my liking. I like the black finish. Plopping my laptop onto it and hooking up is easy. It seems rock solid. I can't tell whether the embedded USB-powered fan pulling air down through the stand is all that effective in helping cool my laptop - but it's nice to know there's good air circulation.

Great value for the money!
OMG! I love this table!!! It is a great deal for such a small cost. I sometimes had trouble balancing my laptop on my bumpy lad. This table gives the user a flat and more stable surface to work on. I use it for working with other things on my lap in my recliner. The tilt of the table is adjustable as well as the legs. The only negative is that the plastic caps on the metal les would come off. This was also noted by other users in the reviews, but we solved the problem in 5 minutes with some hot glue. It has been working fine since that fix was done.

Plastic adjustment parts - broken already.
Love all the adjustments - I actually use it for both my laptop and also flip it to a more upright position for painting on small canvases. The adjustments have been a little tricky - and I have a hard time getting it to change position without resistance and feeling like it's going to break. Nice if the knobs/parts hold up. 7/2/14 UPDATE: I've knocked two stars off because my stand has already broken. I've adjusted it three, maybe four times in the several months I've had it. My original review mentioned that it felt like it could break (there are plastic parts within the adjustment areas), and it did. The desktop angle adjustment has always been difficult to maneuver but hasn't actually broken (yet). The height adjustment has broken - the plastic snapped off (and this was a very simple and gentle adjustment, so it's ridiculous that's it's already happened) and I now must leave the stand at it's lowest height. Functional/nice concept, poor materials. Please come out with a version of this that is not made with cheap plastic! This was far too expensive to have broken in such a short time!
