This is battery operated - not rechargeable. It is ok for mood lighting but is not super bright.

Flexible Colors
The four inch size is very nice, it's small enough that it can be comfortably held in your hand. The changing colors mesmerize toddlers.The remote works well for selecting what color or mode you want. Battery power is excellent and long lasting (*many* hours).
