My 2002 T-Bird now has functioning Bluetooth and access to my iPhone thanks to this little device. The Syncwire was easy to install and link to my phone and is working quite nicely as I had hoped it would. Choosing a proper FM station as described in the tiny instructions. That was critical as one station with even minimal station interference was not optimal. Also, I had originally picked an FM frequency above 101 and it appears the device does not connect to stations above 100...at least my device did not. The directions did not mention that aspect of the process. I do wish the phone and other buttons were on top of the unit: when the device is installed with the screen properly oriented, the buttons are on the underside where they are not readily accessible. Another reason I selected this model was for its visual simplicity. It's simple round design fits in nicely with my vehicle's instrumentation. So far, this was a great choice!

I bought this for my 2008 Miata which has the Bose system with a multi-cd system that no longer works. I actually got the Syncwire Bluetooth Transmitter as a stop gap while I shopped for a new car stereo unit. To my surprise, this Syncwire Transmitter works great! Much better than I expected! I’m thinking now of just keeping the Bose unit and using the Syncwire Transmitter and using my iPhone for the music source. Great value, no connectivity issues, music sounds great.

I've only used it once so far. I need to read the full instructions, but I was able to get it working for a short drive in town. At first I thought I was going to have to return it, I tried plugging it into the plug at the bottom of my dashboard, it was a really tight fit and was almost stuck in there. I wasn't going to fight with it every time I have to unplug it, plus I didn't want to leave it in the open when I'm not driving. Then I remembered I had another plug inside the console between the front seats. It works great, a little hard to see when it's in there but it works fine and no one can see it after I close the lid. I don't know if it needs to be unplugged after you've parked for the day or if you can just leave it plugged in all the time. The light turns off when I turn off the engine and take my keys out. For now, I'll just be on the safe side and unplug it when in done driving for the day. I've left it plugged in when I ran some errands and it was great, I just paused my music while I went in the store and when I got back in the car, it reconnected without me having to do anything! I hit "play" on my music and it picked up right where it left off! I'll update after I've used it more, but so far it's a great purchase!! Definitely recommend if you have an older vehicle and want to connect something via Bluetooth! The only con is that it is a little hard to remove it, but I guess that's a good thing, it stays in place very well!

This device easily made my 2007 Saab 9-3 bluetooth capable. Now I can quickly connect my iPhone to my car through the radio and enjoy the full functionality of my phone. Note - the only way to power this device is to plug it into a cigarette lighter so don't order it if you don't have one. Also, I have not used the phone functionality yet but the sound quality is great and I like that the device has a USB plug so I can charge my phone while I am streaming music.

This product does work but has some downsides that should be noted. First and most importantly, when you take a call and your phone is connected to this device it will go through the microphone on the Syncwire. This leads to very poor call quality and requires me to switch my phone off the device so the other person can hear me. Also, I'm not sure if it's just how it connects to my phone but it will always max out my volume initially. I have been startled many times by this. Furthermore, if I have the volume too high on my phone the sound quality drops off considerably. Some positives are that it was easy to set up, that my phone connects well to it, and that it was relatively cheap. Overall, this product does it's job but there are many areas for improvement.

I’ve been looking to replace and older Bluetooth transmitters (2020 Vicsing) that I had for years previously. This was my 7th potential replacement that I’ve tried. Of all of them, this was the best so far but, it still not exactly what I need. PROS: The sound quality is great. The music playback is excellent with the bass booster. The volume is appropriately loud enough that the music sounds like it’s playing directly from my car’s audio. I didn’t experience static or noise interference. Call quality is also great. The noise cancellation feature is really effective in this device. People hear me loud and clear and it doesn’t pick up car/road noise. The microphone picks up clear as if I’m using the speakerphone on my iPhone. On many of the other devices that I have tried, I found that I either had really great music quality or great call quality but not both. One would have The bass boost function, but lack the noise, cancellation feature for calls or vice versa. It has an usb-b and an usb-c port which is great for charging. My phone charges relatively quickly. Despite missing some of the things I was previously accustomed to, I thought I had finally found the perfect replacement. BUT CONS: A minor con, which wasn’t a dealbreaker for me was the fact that it did not announce that Bluetooth was connected upon turning on my car. Instead, you get two beeps one to let you know that it’s on and two to let you know that it has connected to your phone. I was able to adjust to that. Another con is the playback, skip and reverse function. In order to do so with this device, you must click the call button twice and then turn the dial left to go back or right to skip forward. I have a 2006 Honda Accord where the cigarette lighter is in the console by the gearshift with a covered door on top. The cover naturally wants to close when there’s nothing in the cigarette lighter so unfortunately it rests on this device. It’s a pain to have to look down make sure I’m clicking the right Great button and then kinda holding the cover up so that I can turn the knob at the same time. This is especially annoying when you click the call button twice turn the lap right to skip and then decide you want to skip that song too. You have to then click the button again and turn the knob as opposed to being able to click. Keep turning the knob right. You can do that if you make your decision to skip within seconds of doing the previous skip otherwise you must start the process again. Other devices have a dedicated button to press or a joystick function to move ahead. It is not a great set up, but I could deal but another con made it impossible for me to overlook this drawback. That last con is - unlike other devices that will use Siri to announce who’s calling from my contact list, this device uses its default programming that I cannot override. It announces the call by saying the entire phone number (country code, area code and phone number) ALL OF THEM! So, you’re literally listening to over 10 digits being called out whenever a phone call comes through. I find this incredibly annoying. I would rather it not announce anything at all as if this is the only option. Imagine trying to listen to music and that breaks in and then you have to fumble with the button to accept the call. Declining the call was not easy for me so if I didn’t want to take the call I had to listen to the whole number so I wouldn’t be distracted while driving. This drawback in conjunction with the awkward skip playback feature makes it a dealbreaker for me. I will continue to look for devices that don’t have this these shortcomings , and also give me excellent audio quality like my old transmitter. I know it’s possible. Overall, it’s a decent transmitter if you don’t mind the awkwardness of having to use the skip feature and not being bothered by the annoying phone number announcement when calls come through. To find a device with both great call quality with noise cancellation AND good music playback with bass boost is really rare. Even devices that claim to have both, usually one feature suffers a bit more than the other. This device got it perfect. Unfortunately the cons just don’t work for me.

Love the quality of clear sound ..very practical as we can move it from car to car

It is sturdy and well made. This works great for getting your vast music library off your mobile phone onto your cars sound system though there is some audio quality lose due to transmitting the music from the phone via bluetooth and then converting it to an fm transmission. I would recommend using the bass boost to help counteract the audio loss and the sound of the road. It happily charges two devices fast via the usb sockets so no excuse with having your phone battery run flat. It has controls for adjusting volume, pause/play and changing tracks forward and back. It also has functions to work as a handsfree device to answer the phone but since I dont use the phone at all while driving I have not tested this. If I had any criticism for this it would have to be: 1. It has an always on pulsating light which is dim during the day but depending on the car maybe distracting to the driver while driving at night. 2. it should switch controls for volume and track forward./back. Currently you can just twiddle the dial and it changes the volume but if you press the play button twice and then twiddle the dial it will change track. This is pointless as realistically speaking you would use the big volume knob on the radio to change the volume after setting the FM transmitters volume to a balanced volume with the in car radio and cd player. This would make it alot easier to play and change tracks while driving as double pressing the play button is destracting. It doesn't really bother me as I remove all songs from the playlist before I set off. All in all I think its a great bit of kit with a few shortcomings but well worth the purchase.

Works fine, connects fast, but just don't expect great sound as if connected to a direct source. No fault of the unit, just the way it is.For 30 bucks it is worth it.

I have an old car without an audio jack so needed this radio transmitter to play music through bluetooth on my phone. After a lot of researching and trying out different alternatives I settled on this - I think its a good solution. I've used it for about a month and some change. After finding a channel (I used 95.5 which seemed very stable and clear) this device works every time I switch on the car, automatically connecting to my phone and can play Spotify through it. Clarity is good, fiddliness isn't too high (apart from a bit of setting up), the rotatable dial works well to select the channel and the unit isn't too big. I found the set up a tad annoying as the "do-it-all" call button seems to scroll through a menu of options but it isn't clear from the instructions what they do. Eventually I figured out enough but clearer instructions would be great. Some people reported issues with volume and fuzziness but I think that might be due to how it was set up for them - the channel you choose is very important so spend some time experimenting as each region will have a different optimal channel.

It's simple and straightforward, works as advertised. It feels well built and sturdy. It's a good size to just leave in the dash all the time, doesn't get in the way or distract. I like the rotating ring for FM frequency selection and volume. The colour pulses to the music, and can be turned off. It remembers the last FM frequency you tuned it to, and displays it on startup. The USB-A and USB-C power ports are a nice addition, but I haven't tested them yet. It has no amplifier, so the onboard volume control is really just a volume reduction. I just leave it at max and use the car stereo volume. Not so great: No buttons to skip to next/previous song. I guess I can learn to live with that. The "extra bass" button works but resulting sound is muffled and muddy. Don't bother. The hands-free phone connectivity works, but the mic is very weak. Callers can barely hear me in the car with the engine off. It's unusable when driving, especially on the highway. There's more difference than I expected between low and high FM frequencies. Empty spots in the 88-90 Mhz range sound noticeably worse than empty spots in the 104-107 Mhz range, for same car / same phone / same song. Radio stations at the low end of FM come in clear, this device from a foot away - not so much. And finally, it's quieter than I expected. With transmitter volume and phone volume at max (and onscreen "hearing damage" warnings), I have to turn the car stereo up much more than I would for a radio station. Strong local station might need 40-50% car stereo volume at highway speed, but this transmitter needs 75% or more to get the same actual volume. Same phone in our other vehicle with native BT doesn't have this volume difference.
