There is no load, im using a vintage receiver is it safe if the receiver is turned on with no speakers or load?

This device is nothing more than, a 4pole double throw switch in a really nice and convenient attractive box that looks great. I have a 32-year-old Pioneer VSX-D1S Audio/Video Stereo Receiver and it works fine. All amps must have a load when turned on. This means speakers must be hooked up when the amp is turned on. When the amp is connected to the box, it allows you to change from one pair of speakers to another pair. Ensure that the volume control is turned down to the lowest setting, and the amp is off prior to switching your speakers to prevent damaging your speakers. What is critical, you must ensure, that the impedance rating (resistance in ohms) from your speakers matches your power amp to prevent damaging your amp.

Not exactly sure what ya mean by 70 vol or 8 ohm,,,, But i have this connected up to 2 different amps and pushing 50 watts into it and im running 4 ohm speakers and i here NO sound degradation and im running 10 foot runs to my 4 ohm speakers.

I would like to use this as a switch for 2 turntables into 1 preamp but turntables and preamp use RCAs. Could you make this with RCA plugs?
