The Quinns are back!
It has been a year in the life of the Quinn family. Another December in Nantucket is here.So what's new with the characters?Kelley's missing Mitzi. He has not divorced her and when she calls to beg to attend the baptism of Kevin's new daughter, Genevieve, he can't say no to her. It seems things between Mitzi and George, the yearly Santa Claus, are not going well. George might even start dating someone else!Margaret is still dating the pediatric surgeon, Drake. She's very happy with him. She's also quite involved with the Inn and with her children lives too.Kevin and Isabelle are preparing for the baptism when Kevin's ex-wife Nora makes her presence known. She's back to create trouble for the Quinn's family.Ava is dating Scott and she couldn't be happier. Then, Scott invites another teacher to the Winter Stroll and when she gets hurt, Scott feels responsible and takes care of her, leaving Ava behind. This leaves room for Nathaniel to make a pass at her. Nathaniel is back on the island with the sole purpose of recovering Ava as his girlfriend.Bart is still missing in Afghanistan but all his family is thinking of him.Jennifer, Patrick's wife has become addicted to pain meds and Ativan. She's trying to figure out a way to get more pills for herself. She thinks she will stop using when Patrick is out of prison.A lot has happened in the last year and many more things happened in this novel. All exciting and interesting to me since now I'm invested with these broken characters. The audio was fantastic and I would love to do a Winter Stroll myself during December in Nantucket. One of the things I love the most is how they were thinking about Bart and how the light in his room was always on.I'm surprised I have come around to liking Mitzi. I was so happy with the way she felt at the end of The Winter Inn but after finishing Winter Stroll, I understand her better and I'm rooting for Kelley and her to fix things between them.Ava's love life is a mess. I'm leaning towards Scott but who knows.Kevin had a moronic moment but thanks to George, not everything was lost to him.Cliffhanger: Yes4/5 Fangs

A major let-down...
Elin Hildebrand has been one of my favorite authors for years. I read most of her books and it was always impossible to put them down. They are complex with well-developed characters and exciting plots. The very first book in this series felt quite promising. However, after reading the second one I will not continue with the rest of them. Although I still enjoy her writing style, I felt like she almost rewrote the first book into the second one.

If you enjoy stories that really don’t end, this is for you.
I enjoyed a good part of the story as Elm Hilderbrand alway creates interesting characters albeit quite disfunctional as far as families go. What was disappointing (and this is not the first time this has happened reading one of her novels) is that the ending is always unsatisfying in my opinion. It just kinda “ends” leaving you hanging. I guess its a set up for the next book, but I think I am done investing my time reading the novels.

Enjoyable read
I enjoyed this book as I enjoy all of Elin Hildegard's books. This book is the continuing story of book 1 in this Winter Street series. I think it could be read on its own, but the first book is the series is worth reading. I believe there are 4 books in this series and all involve the same family. I always feel like I am on Nantucket when reading Elin Hildegard's books. They are delightful reads.

The Wild Quinns are back!
Back with the Quinns -- I missed them and was pleased to catch up with them. Same family, different problems, but always captivating. I feel like I know them and it was great to see them again.

Lively family fun...
I whipped through this book as I did the first one Winter Street.I enjoyed it very much but after reading two in a row I need to read something a little more serious? I will definitely go back to #3 in this series. Definitely read the authors note at the end of this book. She has dedicated it to Grace and reading about her was very special. I also discovered that the author had breast cancer and likes to cook. She’s adorable too. Can’t wait to meet her in May at our Hadassah author luncheon. CH

Same story, new title
Boy, you really feel like you have read this before! Wait! You have read it before. Just move some things around, add a baby and a different title.....trick us in to spending wayyyy too much for a book we already have. Leaves a sour taste in my mouth, how about you?

Great series
I am on book 4 of this series and feel like I know this family. When I finish one book, I immediately order the next for my Kindle. Even though this family is highly dysfunctional, they are also endearing to everyone. The one thing I don't like about these books is that the author leaves us hanging at the end of each book.

Not one of my favorites
I have read all of Elin's books and have enjoyed everyone of them and love reading about life on Nantucket but Winters Stroll I felt was put together in a hurry, there is a lot of "fluff" and by this I mean, mentioning all the food orders during the baptism, then there is news of Bart possibly being found, then Kelley has an episode and is admitted to hospital, Ava might or might not be back with Scott...the end!!!! Very disappointed in this book.

I hope another is coming
Incomplete ending, again! Would have like to have known it was a cliffhanger! Classic fun Hilderbrand until that point, though.
