Wassily Chair Model B3 Bauhaus by Marcel

I have enjoyed owning this chair very much. It is a beautiful historic design and I find quite comfortable. I recommend this over the Baxton model. Worth the extra money for the quality product... It has good stitching and good leather.

My alleged Wassily chair arrived today as scheduled but...the box identifies it as a WassiEly chair and the chrome is more brass colored than chrome...especially noticeable because it is among other CHROME and leather / glass pieces. In places the "chrome" almost looks as though it has oxidized but I can't say that for sure. Clearly this chair was substituted for the chair displayed online and is not the product advertised. If I had paid the alleged full $999 price for it I would be returning it tomorrow but for the $400 I paid the hassle of repacking and reshipping isn't worth it. I am very disappointed that an Amazon vendor would pull this bait and switch stunt and I hope Amazon takes note of the fraud. It's an OK chair and looks like a Wassily chair and is probably worth the $400 I paid for it but...buyer beware. On the plus side the packaging was excellent and the box arrived by FedEx not only on-time but intact and undamaged. There were other chairs I looked at on Designer Seating's website that I would have ordered but not now.

Already own a Wassily chair and this one was equally as satisfactory as the one purchased a few years ago.
